2008 I should have known better going to a podiatrist that doesn't have a handicapped ramp!  I had bunion surgery in January 08 and unfortunately my foot is much worse off then it ever was before.  The big toe was not and should have been corrected when she did the extensive surgery, it was not 'fixed' and now I need another procedure-Dr. Do was insensitive to her mistake, my life was put on hold for about 15 weeks, it was obvious that there was a problem. And now she wants to do another procedure that will take 8 weeks, or so I'm told, the first procedure was to take 12 weeks and I'd be in my regular shoes again. I'm still not able to wear clogs, the most comfortable shoe I own. I am now seeing a new doctor, he has taken the pins out of the top of my foot and I was told that she did the most invasive 'horrific' surgery there is, it was not necessary. The thought of going through this again is dreadful! 10 months and my foot is only getting worse. She's young and inexperienced. She actually said that she'll make sure to do this additional procedure on her new patients, I guess i was the guinea pig.  Please make sure you get a second opinion!

1.  She has a handicap ramp in the back of the building!
2. Was there a reason the toe wasn't fixed and why didn't you get it done?
3. If you are having pain still, why wait the delay of getting it fixed! Sounds like other issues you are not dealing with?
I had surgery...not the bunion, but it turned out great.  You sure you have the right doc?

I HAD A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT ON MY FOOT.  MY BONES WERE BROKEN AND PART OF MY SKIN WAS MISSING.  IT HAS BEEN 5 MONTHS NOW AND I AM DOING GREAT.  I CAN SKI, RUN, HIKE.  HOWEVER, SOME DAYS, IT ACHES TOWARDS THE END.

I had a cyst removed from the top of my foot.
What a relief to have it removed.
Excellent surgeon.

This patient had a severe bunion.  The post reduction was great.  Unfortunately, the bunion recurred and the surgical correction only gave 80% improvement.  Sometimes, the joint may reject the new position and another procedure may need to be done to reduce the pain.  The patient needs to have a new procedure to correct the bunion.
Instead, she chooses to wait.  All the while, she continues to have pain.  Whether it is the foot, ankle, hip, or shoulder...sometimes, a second procedure is necessary.
WE WISH YOU TO COME BACK SO WE CAN FIX IT AND MAKE YOU PAIN FREE.
YOU ARE YOUNG.....WAITING IS ONLY DELAYING YOUR RECOVERY AND MAY CAUSE MORE DAMAGE TO THE JOINT
