I actually really liked Dr. Goldie. I don't know what all this fuss is about, he is the ONLY pediatric Neurologist in the COUNTY at least from what I have heard so yeah you might have to wait a few for an appointment, I know we all feel our kids are #1 but really give the office a break. I only waited about 3 weeks for my appointment and once in the waiting room the staff was very friendly and the wait was short relative to most speciality offices or clinics. I waited about 30 minutes past my appointment time. When we went back to the room all 3 of my (wild and unruly) children got a small stuffed bear to keep. Dr. Goldie was in the room in less than 10 minutes and although he definately is not warm and fuzzy like the kids regular doctor, he was patient and informative. He seems like a no nonsense doctor, and he kept his cool even after my 2 little ones continually interrupted by running back and forth at warp speed. He answered all my questions explained his findings and the medication he was prescribing and for the first time I didn't feel like he was giving us the brushoff about my daughter's severe headaches. I really like him and the office and will definately stay with him!

The first time I took my daughter to Dr. Goldie, I found him to be very impersonable and within minutes, I decided I didn't care for him but by the end of the visit I had changed my mind. He IS very serious but he deals with VERY serious conditions as anyone can clearly see if you spend any time in the waiting room. After several visits, it has become quite evident to me that this man really knows what he is doing and is extremely concerned with providing the best course of treatment for each and every patient. Yes, there is usually a long wait but do you really want the doctor treating your child's brain disorder to rush? I certainly don't! The other thing that has become quite clear to me is that this man is very passionate about children. He may not act goofy or even seem that joyful to some but I wouldn't take my child anywhere else. I think Dr. Goldie is an extremely wonderful and knowledgable doctor and I would highly recommend him. I misjudged him on my first visit and I am so glad I continued to see him. Otherwise, my child would not have the best nuerological care in Ventura County!
