Dr. George took over my husband's case when his doctor of 15 years unexpectedly left the practice.  During the time immediately preceding the departure of Dr. Castro, my husband was having a serious problem with hypertension which Dr. Castro was asking us to monitor and report so that medication could be changed and/or titrated if necessary.  Dr. George stepped into the role and did a good job of communicating and adjusting dosage, etc.

In addition, my husband has recently been scheduled for surgery, and most recent labs and ECG were requested by the surgeon for consultation appointment.  The office staff and Dr. George responded in a timely fashion and Amanda, with whom I spoke, was very cordial and helpful.

We are pleased with Dr. George and with the continued good communication and attentiveness of the staff of Winter Park Internal Medicine.

The only drawback that we can see is that if Dr. George were to admit my husband to a hospital, it would not be the hospital of our choice.  I don't believe that Dr. George has privileges at our preferred hospital, which would mean that my husband would have to be cared for by a hospitalist instead of Dr. George, who is more familar with him. 

UPDATE:  During my husband's last appointment with Dr. George, Dr. George informed him that as of January, he would be leaving the state of Florida.  I commend Dr. George for having the courtesy to directly relay this to his patients instead of having them find out about it after the fact,  and we sincerely wish him well wherever he goes.
