While Dr Booth may be qualified based on the shear volume of Lasik transactions he has done (and my use of the word 'transactions' vs. 'procedures' will become clear in a minute) my experience was singularly the worst interaction I have had with member of the medical care community. My experience extends to most of the office staff as well; the majority of which left me with the impression they are paid for piece work - based on there hurding mentality. Shuttling patients from various sections of the clinic. I counted only two instances with staff that included any eye contact. As far as Dr Booth himself, I can tell why his advertising firm does not allow him to speak on camera during his many TV adds ... his communicative skills leave a great deal to be desired. The term 'Red Neck Zombie' comes to mind. As far as how my acutal transaction went, some part of the process failed to perform as he has intended (an eye cup of some sort that stablizes the eye for the actual Lasik prcedure). As a result he cursed (F*&K this and G*% Dam* this) ... I was floored. If I were not in a state that had flaps on both eyes opened I would gotten off the surgey table and left at that minute. All that said, my vision is far better than it was when I walked into the Booth Eye and Laser Transaction Center -- but I would never recommend Dr Booth for anything other than basic yard work and gutter cleaning -- and only if I coudl insure he would never come in contact with any person who might be offended by a moron who can't control his emotions during times of even minimal stress.
