2006 I have not and will not be a patient of this doctor. Reasons for this is one I've talked to the staff and source will not be name. This doctor has committed malpractice in his employees eyes but threatens them with legal action of a non-disclosure agreement they have sign. He has also fallen asleep during surgery (This can be confirmed by his staff). He also treats his staff like they are slaves and not human beings, yes they are getting paid but even I wouldn't work for what I'm hearing them say he calls them and the way he treats them. He is always firing his office staff because of incompetency when he is the one who is incompetent. Today he has had two of his staff walk out of the surgery room and quit. One being a technician and another being an ophthalmologist. His office is also out of regulations concerning health laws. I highly do not recommend going to this doctor.

this post was dated in 2006 but yet im the reason he is losing business....yeah right

i have heard through the grapevine through a reliable source that he has insomnia so he starts early and ends work super late, like sometimes 1 am. also, one of the benefits over working for an opthamologist is you can have your eyes done for free which my employer did for me, of course i wasnt your run of the meal normal patient...thats just my luck. i had thin corneas so i could not have any procedure that required a flap being made due to lack of corneal tissue and if i did why flap could have torn or abblated or worse...i could have had poor results and needed an enhancement(because unfortunately that does happen, not just to boothe)but i wouldnt have been able to get an enhancement due to lake of tissue if i did lasik, so i had to go with a more painful but rewarding procedure that gave me 20/15 vision that actually had to scrape my epithilium off and let it grow back(kinda like a lizards tail if it chopped off) but i did it because my doctor told me my best option which i already knew because im the person that works up pts. that alone proves that everyone is NOT an ideal candidate for lasik or intralasik because i would have rather had those istead of lasek because of the pain involved but i didnt because i did not want to risk my outcome at all. but my comment about free surgery when you work for an opthamologist was just that i heard he makes his employees get it done very very late at night due to the insomnia. now like i said i do not know if any of this is true becasue i never worked for him. i have also heard more things from an ex employee that worked for him years ago that came to us for surgery but i would hope and pray that he did not make his employees do what she said because it was appalling, the accusation. yeah i know hes done numerous surgeries but its quality not quantity and meeting certain patients needs and also screening them for other possible eye disease. also i hope that he really doesnt let pts wear their contacts to the consultations then take them out because they MUST be out for a few days for the cornea not to be warped and go back to its natural state. that could affect outcomes and needing retreatments especially if a pt has astigmatism. but good luck guys. i hope things change for you and you get your eyes fixed because we have fixed and enhanced multiple eyes and done multiple enhancements or had to tell pts that the doctor they went to has made there eyes where there is nothing we can do unfortunately. and i know thats a scary thought but no one is perfect not even doctors and we all think(including me)they should be. but that saying is true 'what goes around comes around' i did however read a comment on the doc i work for on another site and it was clearly boothe but the person i work for basically only has a handful of complaints and the complaint i read took me about 15+mins to read and quite honestly the language/vocabulary that was used prevented me from understanding what happened but i do kow that i was an attack on him personally not professionally and thats unfortunate. goodbye!

he makes his employees sign a 'contract' otherwise known as a 'no compete clause' what this means is that if an employee leaves his office and is employed by another doctor in the opthamology field he can sue the doctor. even though this is not going to be held up in the stae of texas courts, doctors will not hire people who once 'belonged' to boothe because the will be tied up in legal action and for what....to lose money? if i was a doctor i would not touch an employee of his because no person is worth that much money. in some ways he cares about the money but in this way....its more about proving a point and to scare his employees into staying.
