No matter when you make your appointment to see Dr. Matthews, you can bet on sitting in the waiting room for at least an hour -- and there usually are not enough chairs for all the people who are waiting. Everytime I've been to see her, I've had to wait for her to finish her socializing with a pharma rep. They don't seem to have to wait very long for her at all. But worse, Dr. Matthew's receptionist, who is a foul-mouthed incompetent, knocks on the exam room door after the doctor has been with a patient for more than five or six minutes -- so you better have all your health questions written out ahead of time to make sure you get a chance to ask them. Overall, it's easy to get the impression that Dr. Matthews is more interested in chatting with drug reps and running through patients than taking any time with them.
