I have had Dr. Ricci as my doctor for nearly 11 years and have never had a problem with her. She is friendly, and goes out of her way to say hello to me. I have had 2 babies and have never had a bad experience. Yes, she was absent for both deliveries, but the doctors that delivered were just as wonderful as Dr. Ricci's office visits. My first pregnancy, with infertitlity testing to begin with, was also pleasant with Dr. Ricci; she never just pushed me along or treated me like a number. I think some people just are to harsh or have too high expectations for doctors. Dr. Ricci will answer any questions you have and give you your time if you are patient .

I'm not sure why Dr. Ricci would have received negative comments. I was able to get into her office the day I found out I was pregnant and I had my first ultrasound the next day with no waiting. We weren't able to see anything during my first ultrasound, but the staff was very helpful in explaining HCG levels and they got me right back in the following week to confirm my pregnancy. The staff has been so responsive and friendly. Today I had my first appointment with Dr. Ricci at 8 weeks. There was a little bit of a wait for Dr. Ricci, but not too bad and she apologized right away. She was extremely thorough and made absolutely sure that I was confident and didn't have any other questions before I left. I feel great about having Dr. Ricci and her staff for this pregnancy. |

I absolutely love Dr. Ricci! When I found out that I was pregnant for the first time, I seriously began looking for an OB/GYN that I could feel comfortable with delivering my child. I was very diligent in my research and was very happy to have found Dr. Ricci. On the first appointment I met with the nurse practitioner and found her to be very informative. For every following appointment, I met with Dr. Ricci and she was very attentive. She always wanted to know what I was feeling and when I didn't have to much to say, she would go over common symptoms to expect so that I wouldn't be alarmed or too concerned. She is also open and encourages my specific birth plan and has assured me that she will stick to it so long as me or my baby do not have any unforseen complications. Dr. Ricci also was able to relate to everything that I was going through as she too is a mother. She was always open to discussing her personal experiences with being pregnant which made everything I was going through feel somewhat normal. I currently work as a Health Administrator and have read over the numerous comments that were left by other reviewers. I have to agree that the wait times are somewhat long but that lets me know that she is a doctor that is extremely skilled and in highly in demand. I would be frightened if I was the only person in the waiting room everytime I went in! As a patient and someone who works with doctors on a daily basis I think that Dr. Ricci is top notch and has a wonderful bed side manner and will highly recommend her to friends and family members. I look forward to her delivering my baby in a few weeks

I really love Dr. Ricci. She delivered our child via c-section and did a great job. She has been very open to my specific requests, which is not typical of most MDs. She is definitely busy and that is shown in the limited availability of appointments, but the office staff works hard to get you scheduled if there is something that needs urgent attention. The part that I absolutely cannot stand about this office is the wait time once you arrive for your appointment. My appointment has been postponed/re-scheduled numerous times when Dr. Ricci has been called out for deliveries. However, the past 3 appointments Dr. Ricci has been in the office, I arrive on time and still wait anywhere between 45 min to 1.5 hours after my appointment time before she walks in the room, which I believe is unacceptable. I have been ready to leave each time because I'm so upset and frustrated but then she walks in the room and I seem to forget it all. I would recommend Dr. Ricci, but be advised you will spend a lot of time waiting.

Dr. Ricci is a fabulous OB/GYN and I would highly recommend her to both family and friends. She has been my OB since she first came onboard at Newport Beach OB/GYN back in 1999, and has been there for all 3 successful vaginal deliveries (2000, 2003 and 2006). With the last pregnancy, I did have to go through fertility treatments (An iui which resulted in a bouncing baby girl via Dr. Robert Anderson's practice!) and Newport Beach OB was with me all the way. They are across the street from Hoag Hospital, which also has a fairly new Maternity Ward as compared to other hospitals in the area. I would recommend Dr Ricci and anyone in the Newport OB/GYN staff. |

Dr. Ricci is an exceptional doctor in that she really listens to the patient. She is efficient, and will educate you on necessary/pertinent issues.

She takes care of my wife for her pregnancy and has been wonderful. She is extremely caring and I would recommend her to anyone. She is by far superior over other doctors we have seen. I could not see anyone else delivering our first born.....

I have seen Dr. Ricci for three years now and she is great. Last year, she had an emergency baby delivery during my appt. and her staff called and offered either a nurse practitioner or a later appt., I thought they were very professional. I like Dr. Ricci's manner and feel she is knowledgeable, positive and listens well. I would recommend her to friends and family without hesitation.
