I enjoyed being Dr. Yellin's patient tremendously. I thought he was genuine, fascinating, and passionate about his work. The contempt he has for incompetence is a loud and clear expression of his highly developed sense of ethics. Don't mistake honesty for unprofessionalism. I have great respect for Dr. Yellin and his staff. He reminds me of Dr Stephen Shaeffer who testied against Dr. Conrad Murray. He does not tiptoe around the truth and he knows his stuff. In addition to being a brilliant artist, Dr. Yellin is a genius with an artistic temperament; therefore, suffering fools must be agonizing for him. I imagine he has visions of only working on people whose mouths are duct taped shut. If you go see him please be respectful and try not to be a jerk and waste his time. I deeply appreciate my newly beautiful nose which after all is why I went to him. An honest, fun and un phoney Doc is a rare and special gift. You can keep your professionals. I prefer real people. |

Dosen't a plastic surgeon have a lot more education and experience than a dermatologist?Otherwise, he or she would not be licensed to dismantle one's face and rearrange it. With all due respect to the first commentator, taking the recommendation of a dermatologist over that of a plastic surgeon (who has received and is sharing their God given gift to create along with an extended extensive education) is sort of like saying to Michaelangelo, ''My Uncle Harold paints portraits and sezs you should have designed that chapel ceiling different.'
Also consider that Patient/Doctor confidentiality goes both way. If a Doctor ever gives you enough respect to tell you what they honestly believe about anything you should feel honored and not betray their trust by repeating what they say all over the internet!! Shame on you.
I expect more from my Doctors than just politically correct BS. The entire world is all too full of dishonest BS .because no one feels safe just telling their truth . . . whatever it is . . . because they already know that trust will be betrayed. How sad is that?
