Too many medical mistakes were made. Told me to pull the drain tube that was in my chest, because he wasn't going to meet me at the ER (11:30pm) even though he was the Dr. on call. Due to continued fluid build up, he had to perform a needle aspiration, to remove the excess fluid. He did this 3 times in 5 days. It was the most painful procedure ever. When I told my oncologist @ this, she informed me that he could numb the area, to prevent causing anymore unessary pain. I was so angry that he did not offer me this option. I did insist that he "numb" the area, when he had to perform 2 more aspirations. He made it very clear that he thought it wasn't necessary, but finally agreed at my insistance. After mths. of complications, I had to resort to finding another Dr. I had 3 other MD's opinions & all said my surgery was a total failure. After my 2nd surgery, the expanders were found to have holes in them and I had an infection. The damage done to me (due to the failure of adequate medical care) is most likely going to prevent me from any reconstructive surgery (I had breast cancer)...ever. The physical & emotional pain this 'so-called' Dr. has put me thru is inexcusable. |
