This is very interesting!  alexag is just now commenting on a procedure that occurred (maybe not true) back in 2009.  Sounds like a false marketing scheme to me! 

The truth is this Doc will put you at high risk!!!!  He has seriously injured at least 4 patients during the past 9 months requiring corrective surgeries from other Docs.  His license has been taken away in Maryland, and he is on probation in both DC and Virginia.  Review his history.

Stay away from Perlman!

I had my first surgery with dr. perlman in summer '08.  He did not do what I asked and procedures had to be re-done about 6 - 9 months later.  I am left with terrible scars in very obvious places and still am lumpy and not smoothed out.  when I save up enough money, I will have to go back to another doc to get these scars and lumpiness fixed.  I was extremely disappointed with Dr. Perlman.  I felt like he lines up too many surgeries and is on the careless side.  His staff do talk about vitamins and pre-surgery care options.  but they want you to purchase most of the items from them.  gayle is quite a salesperson.  The surgeries are performed at Sibley.  Overall I do not recommend Dr. Perlman or his staff.

sorry to hear about your bad experience.  i also have horrible scarring and disfigurement from my surg. in 09.  i had to laugh at the part about gayle being a salesperson and i def agree.  i actually consulted with a surg in frederick,md that worked at the same hospital  perlman for  a short time and he described him as being like a used car salesman.  i along with a few other patients are working on shutting the 'sales office' down!  my hope is that we accomplish this before he scars or even kills someone .  there is some interesting PUBLIC RECORDS about perlman past lawsuits, settlements, drug and cocaine abuse and license suspensions in other states. there is a posting with the links.  i wish you lots of luck!
