He was my family doctor for a few years. The man is extremely qualified as a doctor, I believe he graduated from Yale. He is also a very charming and polite man but in all honesty the DEA investigation doesn't surprise me the least bit. Half the people at the office in keyport were obviously strung out on heavy pain meds. I know many of his patience paid cash and between his four office that he had nurse practitioners running half the time this man must of made a fortune. I'm 28 years old and I seen many young people my age knotting out inside his office which i think is a sin that a doctor as qualified as him would prescribe these people heavy pain medication. Oxycontin is synthetic heroine and it ruins peoples lives. My father was once addicted to the drug because of a knee replacement he had. Instead of trying to wean my father off of the medication he originally prescribed him, he kept upping the dosage until he was finally taking 80m. He then finally let my father go as patient.... I'm pretty sure because the doctor knew his office was being investigated and patience like my father who have top of the line medical coverage only left a paper trail. He preferred the 150 cash visits from patience without insurance. My father's new doctor no longer prescribes him pain medicine and all; and he once again has his life back. I never wish anyone misfortune but this man surely has hurt people, especially younger ones, by prescribing them medicine that can make them addicts for life or put them in a grave. If you ask me doctors like him are the real drug dealers.... they just wear a suite and tie to work!!! Like I said qualified doctor that probably let greed get the best of him. |
