1	Not given	My wife blacked out and almost died from Dr Bassin's procedure. He then refused to take our calls. He then refused to refund our money. His attorney's will protect him. I only wish we had read the comments on him before we went to him. He is only interested in money. The doctor clearly ignored our complaints. Watch out what you sign, prior to your appointments. Just because you see something about him on TV, does NOT mean he is reliable and safe. PLEASE seek out other options, before making a decision on what doctor you will allow to work on your body. What procedure did she have? I have considered ab eye lid lift by Dr. Bassin and have asked a few posters for thier knowledge. However, no one has replied! So you can see no help.

Questions - believe what Answer is saying!! I know from first-hand experience how bad this doctor can mess up your eyes! If you read my comments in other posts, you will realize that this doctor is not to be trusted. PLEASE DO NOT LET HIM NEAR YOUR EYES!!

To Husb - I'm really sorry to hear about the problems with your wife's surgery - I hope she will be alright. Of course, I don't think anyone reading your post is surprised - this proported doctor just keeps getting worse. I think this is the first time we've heard of anyone nearly dying though.

If you don't mind sharing, what procedure did she have? Was it at a Surgicenter? If you were finally able to get in touch with him, how did he explain what happened? I was told by an attorney that you can't really bring a suit against a plastic surgeon unless serious permanent damage results - maiming someone apparently doesn't qualify, or he would have had countless suits against him by now. However, you should at least pursue making a report to the associations with which he is affiliated and Florida state licensing.

Wanted marinette lines filled with natural lipo, (fat taken out of stomach and put in face lines). On the left side, he totally missed the fold line and put the fat next to the line and the line is more pronounced than before. The right side is just the same. The only thing that changed is my wallet, which is much lighter. I asked him if he would redo it to improve the results and he said no.

Would not recommend him.

@ Toni....had similar procedure. I am extremely disappointed. I visited with him recently and I showed him where he had '''missed''' and he told just shrugged it off and said 'everyone is different with these procedures'. He did not even check the 'marks' he had made on my stomach area! One of his assistants told me in 'confidence', that she wished he would come forth and tell his patients what to expect in detail.... before hoping on the table for surgery! I would not recommend him as well!

I totally agree with Toni and Maur1. I too had the same procedure done not too long ago, believe it or not after $3,500 and still in pain (stomach) all of my lines are back. I don't know how Bassin (can't even call him a Dr.) can still do this to people. I was never even seen by him or a nurse after my weekly procedure. He is very unprofessional and misleading, when he's doing all of his advertising and showing up onTV (including Dr. Oz's show) that all it was 'a show'. As far as his Nurse (Nancy) not very niceand rude. I do not recommend him do anyone... Please, who ever is thinking of going to him read all the reviews. This is not an opinion but its real people that he's messing with.

After reading all of these comments I would love to share my POSITIVE experience!

I saw Dr. Bassin on Oprah and was impressed with what I saw. I noticed my face was drooping and sagging and I wanted that gone. I also had the sagging neck and deep nasal lines. I decided to see Dr. Bassin and discuss the Mid Face Lift. I loved the fact that the procedure was in office with local numbing and was over within 2 hours. There was very little discomfort and within a week I looked great. Family and friends noticed I look 10-15 years younger! I would highly recommend this procedure for anyone who is concerned about their appearance.

I had a Face Lift. My experience with the procedure was easy and the results were better than expected. The office staff was incredibly attentive.

I wanted laser resurfacing for my face. Dr. Bassin recommended Dot Therapy. I also wanted some work done on my stomach. Dr. Bassin ordered Thermage treatment for my stomach. After having both treatments done at the same time I thought that I would experience a great deal of downtime and discomfort. I was very happy that I did not have a great deal of downtime and did not experience too much discomfort.

My face looks and feels amazing. My stomach still needs time to achieve the full results.

Amy was very knowledgeable. She was patient and attentive. Not only did she call me herself but also gave me her own personal cell phone number so that I can call her whenever I had any questions or problems. I’m very pleased and happy with the results. I’ve referred several other women to Dr. Bassin.

relive20's - Really? You had a face lift, Thermage, and dot therapy and you were up and around in a week? I had dot therapy alone and wasn't 100% in a week (to be expected, I might add). Not to be mean, but you sound like you write brochures for Dr. Bassin. I'm happy for you if you had a great experience but I think you can see on this site that you are part of a tiny minority.

'hard to believe ' review posted by this person ; and having dealt with this unethical Dr. , it all seems too hard to believe.

I should be all healed by now from my eye surgery; however, I am constantly being asked :
'- You had eye surgery ? Are you still healing ?' ... This is because my right eye was not done correctly ; nor by a professional.

The same with my arms ; at least before the Smart Lipo , I could show them ; while they had a lot of fat, they just looked fat... Now they look deformed; and I hide them more than ever.

Very expensive procedure with poor results. Dr Bassin doesn't use local anesthesia, He just numbed the are in a very bloody way. The assistant is very unprofessional and dehumanized. I was wearing a small disposable garment and when they finished I couldn't even rest for a moment in the bed. She pulled me out and I thought I was going to pass out. She pull my pants and my top without even telling me. I felt raped and I started covering myself with my hands.
The procedure is very painful. I felt that I had surgery in a thrid world village.

I had Aqua- Lipo after seeing him on Dr Oz ( a show I no longer watch!). My before & after pictures were identical. An after-care visit with an assistant claimed that my problem was intra-abdominal fat & that my procedure was successful?! Frankly, there was no improvement at all & there even seemed to be a little 'redistribution' so that I'm puffy in southern areas that were never affected before, if you catch my drift! He did oblige me a visit months later & suggested the controversial 500 calorie a day HCG diet to lose weight. If I had wanted to go on such a restrictive plan, I could have done that on my own & without paying him over $5000. Wish I had read up on him more prior & seriously caution anyone thinking about going to him!

These various reports are shocking, frightening, extremely discouraging.
I never had any idea this highly acclaimed, Dr. Bassin, could possibly be
THIS bad; I admit, I am in shock!!
I was just in the process of calling one of his offices to set up an appointment,
however, after reading these various very, very Bad Reports from So Many
people whose personal experiences have been Extremely Bad, there is NO WAY
I would ever call this person.
I am feeling extremely sorrowful for all the innocent patients who went to this man
having all the hope in the world to gain and regain 'A New Lease On Life' through
various procedures, Yet they have ended up suffering in various ways.
Very, Very Sad!

Well, Miss Marie, welcome to the website full of people who have already figured out that this dr (if you can call him that) is all about money. Thankfully you have the opportunity to walk away with ony a $100 loss - it could be much greater if you decide to have surgery by him. If you read the other posts here, you will see that he has hurt many people, and he has no conscience about it. I know from experience - it cost me thousands, and I am scarred for life. Beware!

I will pay the $5,000 for the seminar, walk away without letting me touch my arms, and be happy for the rest of my life. I paid him $5,000 to deform my arms.

$100 well spent MissMarie .... you saved A LOT more in pain ... probably the best $100 you spent in your life.

I was just preparing to call Dr. Bassin's office (one of them) prior to reading these various reports today.
I Am In Total Shock!
I am just about speechless with regard to the Horrible, Outrageous, Sad Personal Reports
given by So Many people!!!
I am very, very sorry for all of you who have suffered at his hands; I Simply Do Not Comprehend how this man can go on and on and on continuing his very poor
methods/results and failing his patients/clientele.
I am very thankful for these posted comments.
I pray all of you may somehow recover from your tremendous negative experiences
with Dr. Bassin. What you have encountered is just plain wrong; this individual ought to
care enough to make everything right. Character Matters .. Integrity Matters ..

1	Not given	Dr Bassin in nothing more than an arrogant, self righteous, money hungry ** that preys on the vulnerablity of men and women unhappy with themselves. I have had a procedure done and it was a nightmare. Anyone considering hiring Roger Bassin for any procedure, I am urging you to thing twice!! He will rip you off and treat you badly. His staff are all ignorant and I truly cant beleive anyone would work for someone like this. How can you work for someone that treats patients so poorly and gives them false hopes all while taking their money!! Terrible! Is this scorecard helpful? 1	2007	Dr.Bassin made many promises with the Thermage procedure. The procedure actually dissolved the fatty tissue in my face giving me a gaunt look. After more research I realized that this was a possible side effect though was never told so. After I revisited the office and spoke with the RN who performed the procedure, she looked at before and after photos and AGREED that the effects were minimal and that my face was now thinner looking. She then said she would consult with the doctor to determine if I was eligible for a 2nd treatment or fillers. I explained that I wanted neither as I was afraid to pursue anything more in this scope of plastic surgery. I requested a refund of some sort. She consulted with the MD and phoned me back. The doctor said my REAL problem was that I had bags under my eyes and that I needed surgery to offset the thinning of my face. Hello? The nerve! How insulting was this, I said. And had the doctor REALLY thought invasive eyelid surgery was the way to go, why hadn't he recommended this in my initial consult with him? Well.... Bar none... he is arrogant and rude. His staff seem to want to appease both him and the patients, which I believe is impossible. They know they are working for a doctor who is NOT certified for the procedures he SELLS and it shows in their demeanor. If your looking for a professional environment with a well trained doctor.... you better of going to Mexico Is this scorecard helpful? I have been trying to add a scorecard since january. Please spread the word that Dr. Bassin is an unprofessional, unethical 'doctor'- I use that word hesitantly because medical doctors are supposed to facilitate wellbeing and healing for their patients.

I have also been trying to add a scorecard and get a message that it can't be done at this time. However, I put a lengthy response under Anamarie's corecards explaining that I had surgery with Dr.? Bassin in 2007, and am still suffering the consequences. Beware of this person, he is not who he proports to be. I found him arrogant and uncaring, and even worse, a lousy surgeon. Apparently he's all about the money. Tell anyone who is thinking of having any kind of surgery he advertises to run, run, run - the other way. Please contact me for proof of what I say - I have an extensive photo gallery to back it up.

Dr. Bassin is an excellent physician. Don't believe the garbage written here from competitors. I am a doctor myself and have used Dr. Bassin on 3 occassions to enhance my appearance.

I wish that what you were saying were true. I have a right eye larger than my left eye, I have visible scars ; and not to mention deformed arms to prove it. Not sure what your agenda is, but it is not the well being of potential patienst.

1	2008	Dr. Bassin gives a great sales pitch but the procedure he performed on me was not as described. The results were not as promised and I found his indifference/arrogance towards my concerns to be most unprofessional. I rejected his offer of a free 2nd procedure since I considered the outcome would only make the situation even worse and I had already gotten a 2nd opinion from another plastic surgeon. Wow, I cannot believe what I'm reading. I went to see Dr. Bassin yesterday for Thermage treatment on my face and he really sold it to me. I've been so excited and fired up that I applied for a personal loan to cover these expenses. Now I'm terrified of this man. He sounded so convincing and assured me that I would look 10 years younger in 3 months time. Is there anyone out who's had a good experience (besides Susan????). Help!!!

YES! he is VERY NICE and VERY convincing when he talks ... ... Wait until you have your procedure done, he will be VERY rude, and you will not see him again .... he should be a car dealer seller, instead of a doctor.

My best advice, since you did read all these testimonials, do not waste your money, and do not risk your health with his 'plastic surgeon'

Find another plastic surgeon to get your procedure done.

I am a former patient of Dr Bassin and will never ever use this doctor again - not sure he can be called a doctor. Every negative comment you have read on this site is true. If you want work on your body, please do not waster your money with this man - go to someone else - do your homework. I get so angry when I see Bassin on TV, someone interviewing him and Bassin telling so many lies. He is such a fraud and the public is unaware. Again, run from this so called doctor.

Saw Dr. Bassin today- I am over 55 and was very hyped up on a thermage procedure that he demonstrated on news programs. He recommended this procedure with fat transfers to get rid of the lines around my mouth and nasal areas. It sounded great BUT then I found out that he does not do it at all. He has a nurse practioner do it. Plus, if you cancel there are monetary penalties upwards of 50%. This makes me very hesitant to do these procedures. Please comment if you have seen him recently or had this procedure done by his office. He showed us many pictures of patients who looked wonderful afterwards...

I had a terrible experience with him, PLUS I have a friend who had the Thermage procedure and results were ALMOST noticeable, waste of money!

Go to another plastic surgeon. Dr Bassin is NOT a plastic surgeon, check his records.

Believe the comment of the nurse being the one performing the procedure.
This is his way of making double the money. He will charge you, full profesional price and have an inexperience person perform it, so that he could double book people. He also charges other nurses and inexperince doctors to come learn at his office, at your expense.

Please don't use him. You will be sorry. I wish I had found this website before I had my facial lines filled. All the things you are reading of negative results must be true based on my experience. He was cold and uncaring about the job done on my face. I am not sure if he actually did the proceedure on me as I took powerful drugs, (prescription given by Dr. Bassin) and I was so spaced I could not see or understand a thing.
