Dr Haworth possesses an aesthetic vision not many plastic surgeons share. He is gifted, precise and has contributed many unique surgeries to the field. I am an attractive female plastic surgeon in the NY area and have had three lip lifts, the last being with Dr Haworth, a professional colleague of mine. He not only fixed the unattractive scarring I had around the nose but also gave me the lip shape along with tooth show I always needed to have the properly balanced face. My first two lifts were skin-only, whereas Dr haworth's did involve the muscle tightening procedure. Contrary to "bunny34"'s experience, Haworth's lip lift has been an unqualified success both in terms of permanency and beauty. These are the two main advantages of tightening the muscle in the first place. Unlike "bunny34", I have had no long lasting numbness. Indeed, as a plastic surgeon who has had this procedure, I find that her complaints do not make sense knowing the anatomy of the area;(the nerve to the upper lip comes from a point in the skull just below the orbit)-by the time the nerves enter the upper lip, they are microscopic and any surgeon doing surgery in this area, be it an upper lip lift or a cleft lip repair will encounter these nerves. Temporary numbness like stiffness is a given but this passes.
It seems to me that the comments below serve not to educate but only represent those of a person with malicious intentions. Amusingly, the only 10 she gives is for the time she waited to get an appointment, which is contrary to my score. I gave a three because everyone including me have to wait a long time to get an appointment with Haworth.
