I am a patient of Dr. Basile. I have full faith and confidence in his being my physician.
I am in my mid sixties; my life has been active . About a year ago, I noticed pain in my right toe area. I take a 4E; naively, I thought my foot was getting wider.
After getting an appointment, Dr. Basile told me that I had a large bunion on the big toe area, and a smaller bunion ( bunionette ) on the other side. Surgery would be required to alleviate the ongoing pain. He cautioned me that my bunions were large, and that recovery could be lengthy.
I had surgery approximately six months ago, and the recovery was lengthy and painful, During my post-op visits with Dr. Basile, he was honest and compassionate about my longer than expected recovery and encouraged me to be patient .My days of working out again and bicycling were near. He was correct.
I am almost totally healed from my bunionectomy.
Unfortunately I contracted other foot problems almost simultaneously that required me to seek medical treatment. Again Dr. Basile treated me in a systematic and careful manner. After X-rays and an MRI, I am again on the road to a full, active life.
Dr. Basile' straightforward and professional adeptness make going to "see the Doctor" a less anxious undertaking. He has been "top notch" with me.
