Many years ago, I had nasal surgery done because my nose was crooked (from an accident I had as a child) and I wasn’t breathing well.  My septum, according to that doctor, was deviated, but that was it.  There was no hole in my septum before that surgery.  Then, I had the nasal surgery, and afterward, I still wasn’t breathing well.  It was still a little bit crooked as well. Years later, I went to my current Ear, Nose & Throat doctor, who told me that aside from my septum being deviated and my nose being crooked, I also had a large hole in my septum, and very little cartilage left  since the previous surgeon, had removed  a great deal of cartilage from my nose, as  I found out.  My Ear, Nose and Throat doctor recommended that I see Dr. Minas Constantinides, who is also an Ear, Nose & Throat doctor, and is specialized in facial plastic surgery. According to him, Dr. Constantinides was the only person he knew of, who could help me.  I finally went to see him last year, and not only did he straighten my nose and septum and close a large portion of the hole in my septum, which finally helped me breathe 100% better, but he also used cartilage from my rib to create 3 cartilage grafts in my nose. My bridge was also rebuilt and strengthened, since the bone in the upper part of the nose was very fragile. In short, it was complete nasal reconstruction, which was very successful.  Dr. Constantinides was very kind, and he, along with his wife Melissa, who works with him, were accessible 24/7, and were available for any questions or concerns I had.  It didn’t matter if I called late at night with a problem about the recovery or anything else, they were always available and the doctor who assists him was always on call as well, and would call him directly if he didn’t have the answer at hand. 

The entire staff there was very attentive and friendly.  Everything was very well explained to me, even in writing, and after I went home, his wife Melissa called us the very next day to follow up on my recovery.  I saw him frequently after the surgery, and he and Melissa had given me all the prescriptions I would need to fill before the surgery, as well as a kit of supplies to take home to aid in the recovery.  I’m very thankful for having been referred to Dr. Constantinides.
