November 2009 I heard about Dr. Gray from his radio ads.  I made a consultation appointment, for lipo/breast reduction.  I was 10 Minutes early and still got on right away.   Dr. Gray was very kind and knowledgeable he explained in detail what the procedure would entail.  He also suggested to have lipo on my breast rather than the more invasive reduction.  Which would save me valuable recovery time.   I felt very comfortable talking with him and scheduled my appointment right away.  I had surgery on a Friday and was back to work on Monday, like he said.  I got my surgery done back in November and just went an bought my new Bikini! I never thought I would be able to pull off a bikini again but Thanks to Dr. Gray and his wonderful staff, I am back to bikini bod and loving every minute of it.  I have suggested Dr. Gray to all of my friends and I would suggest him to all of you. His great work made me feel beautiful again!yes

don't know why people don't do their homework before embarking into such critical surgeries. Ladies, Dr. Gray is not a plastic surgeon. He is a cosmetic surgeon. A pediatric doctor can be a cosmetic surgeon, a family doctor can be a cosmetic surgeon. This is a loophole in the system.
A plastic surgeon needs to be board certified in plastics. This guy is not; he went through his medical school, and afterwards he started his residency in general surgery only to quit after two years.
The guy is not even board certified in General Surgery!

What does this mean to all you ladies? It meas that if, God forbid, you encounter any complications while under his knife, he would not be prepared (nor trained) to deal with them.

In any case, the guy is a great business man. Kudos to him and his marketing team for knowing how to exploit every loophole in the system out there. If people ever find out the truth about him and stop going to him, he would still make tons of money in used cars business

'Board Certified' does not necessarily mean that the surgeon has had  comprehensive training in cosmetic surgery. Not all training is the same.

It is more important to choose a Surgeon like Dr. Michael Gray, who is reputable and who has extensive training and experience.

Seriously? what have you been smoking?
To become board certified in plastics means you have to do 2 years of plastics - which includes cosmetic (simple) and reconstructive surgeries (much more complex and difficult) - then after the two-year program, you will have to train between 1.5 to 2 years in all types of plastic surgeries - not just cosmetics - to be able to successfully pass the boards.

The boards in the US certify only the best doctors. Many doctors go for the money, and only do the first two years of plastics, but only concentrate on the cosmetic track. The problem with those doctors is they remain weak when it comes to dealing with complications.

All that said, before you even go into the first two years of plastics, you will have to finish 5 years of general surgery. Your esteemed Dr. Gray did not even finish the first five years of general surgery. He dropped out after two years. The guy is a hack when it comes to medical procedures. He's got extensive training and experience you say? yes, he's getting it through unsupervised learning while butchering poor gullible woment.

As I said before, the guy might be a hack when it comes to the medical field, but he sure is an awesome used car salesman!

@Jzone - why are you so upset?
It sounds like Dr. Gray is taking some patients away from your own practice.

You keep bashing him, and you're not even a patient of his to speak from personal experience.

Are you trying to disguise you own shortcomings?

I don't care who Jzone is, what she says is important and she is so right. Anyone who can help a person avoid the unskilled hand of Dr. Hack Gray is honorable, in my opinion.

Talk on Jzone.

Jzone is 100% correct!  You honestly sound stupid saying that 'board certified isn't the most important thing'.  Well, it's not the most important, but it's the best place to START.  You can go with reputation after you find a list of board certified plastic surgeons.  That's like saying, 'I'm going to get my teeth pulled by this guy that has been doing it for years.  He isn't a dentist, but people really like him.'  You sound stupid.

I wish I had been smart enough not to fall for Dr. Gray's sales pitch when I went to his office.  Perhaps then maybe I wouldn't be stuck with the worst breast augmentation I have ever seen.  When I told somebody else that I wasn't happy with my implants, they knew who I went to before I even told them.  He is TERRIBLE.

I felt like I was going through a 'fast food' breast augmentation.  They had me in and out the back door so quick, I wasn't even awake yet when they were pushing me out.  My husband was worried because my eyes weren't even open.  I was done in 30 minutes!  Please don't end up like me!!  Do your homework and listen to the girls that have been put through hell by this man, not the radio ads!!

@FRANKFRT - You wrote I 'sound stupid saying that board certified isn't the most important thing.' Then YOU write, ' Well, it's not the most important.'

SO WHAT ARE YOU SAYING????

BTW - Many certified dentists are awful and use dirty equipment. 'Certified' does not neccessarily equal good and/or competent. Do not base Cosmetics on certification. These doctors are working with skin, NOT ORGANS!
