First let me say that all started out OK with Dr. Zupanc, but as soon as she found out my son wasn't a surgery candidate with intractable epilepsy, she became very difficult to work with.

She could not pin point some of the seizures my son was having. So she threw a diagnosis of 'Suedo Seizures' at us, had a colleague psychiatrist interview us, claiming we as parents are causing my son's seizures. Her colleague also called a previous doctor, asking if we had 'munchausen syndrome'. It was a nightmare!

As it turned out she had a well renowned resreach doctor observe my son's seizures, and gee, guess what, these were all seizures! Since then the diagnosis of all seizures has been confirmed by other doctors. Don't get me wrong she is a good doctor, but I do think her ego can get in the way of her judgement and listening to the patient. I think she feels she has seen it all, and has diagnosed every type of seizure out there. My son's seizures are rare, and he is now followed by a doctor who was willing to put the time in to sort it out.
