Midei is accused of falsifying medical records to make it appear that patients have clogged arteries to justify inserting mesh stents into the patients. He earned $1.3 million from St. Joseph in the past year alone.

St. Joseph sent warning letters to 600 of his patients saying their stents may be unwarranted. Midei has been removed from duty, but as of today's date the medical board website shows that his medical license is active.
