Dr. Henry Is Suing Posters on This Site

There has been publicity recently about a lawsuit filed by Dr. Kimberly Henry against 12 posters for comments they made about their experience with her on the review sites doctorscorecard.com, yelp.com, or citysearch.co. Her lawsuit asks for a court declaration that every post is “defamatory and libelous,” an injunction ordering that the posts be immediately removed from the Internet and prohibiting the defendants from publishing “any defamatory statements about plaintiff or her medical practice,” and more than a million dollars in damages.

I work with Dr Henry and part of the problem is that people like you post things that have nothing to do with the website. This is a website for reviews. Is this a review? No. OR They are sharing lies about Dr Henry. Storys that are not real and never happened or are grossly exagerated. Why dont you CALL THE OFFICE with your problems rather than hiding behind a screen name?

THE MEDICAL BOARD REPRIMANDED DR. HENRY

As we wrote in a previous post on August 9, 2010, Dr. Kimberly Henry is suing several former patients for claims relating to the negative reviews of her services they posted online.

California law protects people from lawsuits that are merely brought to intimidate and silence critics, which these claims may be. The law particularly protects discussion of an issue of public interest, like the quality of medical care, that consumers engage in when considering treatment and practitioners. Some individuals who file lawsuits effectively bully their critics, but we encourage people to stand up to these tactics and defend their First Amendment rights. Prospective clients and patients should have more than advertising materials at their disposal when considering treatment providers, and consumer reviews provide a valuable public service.

Below is information about a reprimand that Dr. Henry received from the state Medical Board.

On July 12, 2006, the Medical Board of California issued a Public Letter of Reprimand to Dr. Kimberly Henry. It stated: 'An investigation by the Medical Board of California revealed that you purchased and administered to yourself and approximately 40 patients Type A Botulinum Neurotoxin, distributed by Toxin Research International. You failed to inform the patients that the botulinum toxin you were using was not approved by the Food and Drug Administration, was for research purposes only and was not intended for human use. These actions are in violation of California B&P Code section 2238, violation of drug statute/regulation.'

Please contact our office for a copy of the reprimand. 510.486.9123

Dr. Henry not only butchered me (and I have the hideous scars to prove it), she defamed me to staff and denied me medication in order to 'punish' me for having surgical complications.

Someone told me that CASP is representing Dr. Henry.  Is this correct?

Comments by Josf on 10/11/10, 2:43 am

 Re: CASP (www.casp.net/)

In response to some inquiries, and to clear up confusion, “No”.  Dr. Henry is NOT being represented by CASP.  CASP should not be representing anyone.

In California, only licensed lawyers can represent citizens in civil litigation.  CASP is not a lawyer or law firm, not licensed as such, and therefore can not carry malpractice insurance for the benefit of any customers who may have relied on their unlicensed legal advice.  CASP is like these “citizens groups” who form to advocate higher or lower alimony and child support payments.  As noted from the CASP website, it is a special interest consumer advocacy group formed to advocate laws designed to test the true intent of those who are suing or asserting counter-claims.

Legally, CASP can not be just a “front organization” for lawyers trying to snag some business. That would be allowing lawyers to do, indirectly, what the rules of professional conduct do not allow them to do directly.  Both the American Bar Association Canons of Ethics and the California Rules of Professional Conduct for attorneys have very stringent rules by which lawyers can advertise or otherwise solicit business.  If an attorney were reaping pecuniary gain by having  CASP  serve as a fictitious identity for him/her, the penalties against that attorney would likely be so severe that no competent lawyer would engage in that foolish conduct.

Not only are there prohibitions against unlawful advertising and solicitation, but by concealing his/her true identity, very serious questions arise under California’s Consumer Remedies Act. That activity is tantamount to the fraud of concealment which carries its own set of penalties.

It may be that CASP has qualified as a legitimate lawyer referral service; however, I did not see that from the CASP website.  To investigate this point on your own, the California State Bar Association should be contacted at: www.calbar.org.  Also, the California Bar has a potentially help FAQ at: http://www.calbar.ca.gov/Public/Pamphlets/HiringaLawyer.aspx

Irrespective of whether Dr. Henry did something wrong or not,. anyone who has suffered an unsatisfactory result from plastic surgery is doubtlessly experiencing pain and anxiety.  This makes them fragile to begin with; and, the last thing they need is to get linked up with some organization who wants to exploit them or some lawyer who is not up for the job.

Anyone looking for counsel would do well to contact their county bar association and ask for the referral panel.  If that does not work, then contact the county bar association for the surrounding counties and ask for someone who handles litigation in your area.  It is prudent to have “local counsel” appear in the “local courts”.

To learn more about 'Dear Abby' type blogs within the legal community, insightful articles appear on the www.law.com site.

Thats interestig. I was butchered by a New Jersey doctor that was reprimanded by the medical board for adminstering the same stuff on patients that wasn't approved by FDA.
Shows their standard of care.  We should be able to speak about bad experiences about doctors. Maybe if the doctors stop blaming the patients for their actions and give us refund so we can go to another surgeon to fix their mistakes, there would be less negative responses.

I had brest augmentation by Dr.Henry and it was the worst mistake of my life! She put the implants in under the muscle when they should have been on top then about 10 days after getting them one ruptured. When I went to see Dr.Henry about it she blamed me an said I must have polked it to make it pop! She was verry rude and also blamed me for the infection that had me in the hospital for two days she said Imust have been touching the open wound with my dirty fingers. As I sat there and cryed she told me the only way to fix it was to do the surgery again and replace it which of course I had to pay for full price again. After she replaced it and took out the stiches I was at home sitting on the couch when I felt the wound rip open and the implant fall out of my body. I went back to Dr. Henry she said I had to wait at least six months for everything to heal before she could replace it again which I would have to pay for full price for the third time. After going around for four months lopsided with only one implant it also ruptured. To this day I still have one brest with a ruptured implant and one with nothing but a horrific scar.

I work with Dr Henry and she was shocked at this review. She is hurt because she has never been so cold to a patient and she has NEVER had a implant rupture after only 10 days. She has checked her files and it never happened, nor has she ever had a patient in the hospital for 2 days for an infection. She is worried about you and wants to make sure you are taken care of. Could you please call our office to take care of this because she is possitive that this has never happened to one of her patients. Please call us so we can help you! 415.924.1313

This account is clearly untrue.  Implants do not simply 'fall out', nor do they rupture if you 'polk' (sic) them.  I don't know what this poster has against the physician, but potential patients should not give any weight the story.

Comments by Kamiee12 on 07/11/10, 9:17 am

Its all true.  I was in an ER all christmas eve and all christmas day. Implants do fall out when they were put in from under the breast and the wound opens upand the implant rips it open the rest of the way. I went to her office that moarning and she had to pack the empty pocket with wet gause and sent me  home. I had to keep packing it till it was all the way closed up. Also I never polked it she was just wanted me to think it was my own fault like I did something wrong to cause it to rupture.

Comments by Blogger2 on 07/12/10, 2:51 pm

Kamiee, please call our office so we can help you! Dr. Henry has checked her records and none of her patients have been in the hospital on Christmas or Christmas Eve due to an infection from a procedure done by her. No patient has ever been in the hospital for an infection from a procedure done by her. Also, she has never had an implant rupture that soon after a procedure and so we are wondering whats going on. Please call our office so we can help you, thats our first concern.

Comments by Cuidadoeldoctor on 07/12/10, 10:30 pm

Be very careful 'BLOGGER2' if you are indeed representing the good doctor.  You are treading on dangerous ground.   - no infections from any of her procedures?  Ever?  Obviously, false.  Kamiee, sorry to hear of your issues.  I hope you feel better soon.

Comments by Cuidadoeldoctor on 07/12/10, 10:37 pm

Feel free to call Marin General Hospital or contact other local plastic surgeons who have taken over treatment for these patients, post-op.  They should keep records of any outcome resulting in infection.

Comments by Cuidadoeldoctor on 07/13/10, 3:16 am

'Blogger2'  perhaps in your zeal to defend the doctor in question, you have made a mistake.  It is certainly understandable to get confused and misrepresent the facts.

However, before responding on a public forum where hundreds of people will read your comments, you really should be absolutely clear on what you are defending.  For instance, you have said once that [[Dr. Henry]] has never had a patient in the hospital for 2 days for an infection'  Only to be followed by 'No patient has ever been in the hospital for an infection from a procedure done by her.'   I'm curious, which one is it?

Intentionally misrepresenting the facts is unacceptable, especially if you are indeed speaking in a professional capacity on Henry's behalf.

Perhaps you'd like to recant your statements, 'Blogger and Blogger2?'  And while we're on the subject, if you work for Dr. Henry, why don't you just use your own name or the name of Dr. Henry's practice? It would certainly  sound more professional and authentic if indeed you are truly trying to help Kamiee.

Comments by Blogger2 on 07/13/10, 11:39 am

Cuidadoeldoctor, I am not confused nor am i misrepresenting any facts. Being that Dr. Henry has never had a patient in the ER for an infection due to a surgery that she preformed, it seems pretty logical that a patient has not been in the hospital for any length of time, including two days. I was just making the time specific to Kamiee.  Im not intentionally misrepresenting anything! Why don't I use my own name? Um because I don't want you knowing my name? Why don't you use your name? I would also not use Dr. Henry's practice as a username because this is not Dr. Henry. I work for doctor Henry.

All I want to do is make sure Kamiee is alright and gets the help she needs. Dr. Henry doesn't know her real name and has no records of an infection or an implant rupturing or falling out after 10 days so we are confused about which patient is in so much trouble. How can we help a story? We can only help people which is what we are trying to do.

Comments by LMFAO on 07/15/10, 7:57 am

Now I am in no way associated with anybody here, but I find it a riot, everyone is pointing out the 'misconceptions' of blogger and time frames, and yet, everyone is either 'supporting' or at the very least not commenting on Kamiee12's post.  Lets see....going to the same doctor who

1.  Was very rude to you and did the procedure wrong
2.  Paying full price twice and possibly 3 times????

and yet, nobody sees anything wrong with this post.......interesting.....

Comments by Blogger2 on 07/15/10, 11:08 am

Seems sort of weird doesn't it. We haven't recieved a call from 'Kamiee' yet to discuss whats going on and I know that she has read at least one of the comments I have left with our phone number and asking her to call so we can help her. Kammiee, again, PLEASE call us so we can help you! We have no records of your story and we want to figure this out so we can help you and figure out whats going on.

Comments by Kamiee12 on 07/16/10, 12:38 pm

Why in the world would I want any more 'help' from Dr. Henry after everything I have been through already?

Comments by Blogger2 on 07/20/10, 1:09 pm

Please call and check in with our office! We aren't asking you to do a surgery or anything, we just want to know who we are and why we dont have you in our records. Please call us so we can help you and figure this out!!

Comments by eyesavvy on 12/04/10, 11:29 am

I had some work done by Dr Henry a few years back. I also did get an infection that she ignored to the extent that I had to go to Kaiser for help. She was very rude and made attempts to blame me and also charged me the full price 2x. for an infected dislodged cheek implant that I wrote begging letters in reference to my pain and discomfort before going to Kaiser.

I found her to be full of false entries in my chart and exceptionally not nice once I encountered a problem.

...a great experience if all goes well. Look out if you have any problems as she becomes rather nasty and intolerant.

Is this the kind of personality anyone can trust so sensitive issues to?

Comments by eyesavvy on 12/04/10, 12:34 pm

Aside from all the particulars around individual dissatisfactions: There are far too many accounts of nasty blaming behavior on the part of Dr Henry and far too many accounts of infections that were not well dealt with. With so many simialr accounts this is obviously true.

For myself I will say that Dr Henry wrote me a prescription for penicillin, a medication I am allergic to, and then gave me some Cipro samples for a post op strep infection. That is when I decided to go to Kaiser for help.

Cipro isnt indicated in the treatment of strep infections.....I could have died from the penicillin.

Hi, my name is belle and I am a former patient of Dr. Henry. I had a breast agumentation preformed in late 2007. I have experienced the same with her surgery as many other women on his site have had. The resulting surgery along with my follow up pleading for help from Dr. Henry have left me at wits end. In short, I have nerve damage, keloid scaring, unsightly veins I have never had, pain and an enormouse loss of body image. I have read over and over again online other women who seem to have had almost the exact displeasure I have had with Dr. Henry. In researching Dr. Henry I was astonished to find 4 lawauits for medical malpractice that have been filed in defense of Dr. henry abuse. I would like to contact as many woman who have had to deal with the pain I have had to bear over the last year. My email address is oo_bellybelle@yahoo.com Please feel free to write me and I would like to have contact Info. on as many woman as possible to try to find legal help. I am a single mother of 2 beautiful daughters and I don't have the finances to fix what is wrong with me. I have cryed to long over this and I now feel I am not alone.

ps.  the picture shown does not show how bad they actually look in full undress or the hard feel.   To embarrassed to show them.  WOW!  and my agreement was for under the muscle......MY DOCTOR JUST TOLD ME 'HONEY THOSE ARE DEFINATLY NOT UNDER THE MUSCLE'

Our sources have informed us that your statement, 'In researching Dr. Henry I was astonished to find 4 lawauits for medical malpractice that have been filed in defense of Dr. Henry abuse', is NOT accurate. This site is supposed to be a source of factual information and education for patients. Please do not abuse the privilege that you have been given with the freedom too write what you want.  Actually, 'Editor'  the cases are as follows:

Medical Malpractice  Olbrantz v. Henry filed  4/18/1996
Medical Malpractice  Kennedy v. Henry  filed  1/15/1997
Medical Malpractice  Dwelly v. Henry     filed  1/03/2001
Medical Malpractice  Freeman v. Henry filed  3/15/2004
Personal Injury          Thorsson v. Henry filed  3/22/2007
Medical Malpractice  Reynolds v. Henry filed  6/27/2007

For the record, this does not mean things were settled or adjudicated in the petitioners favor, just that there have been other people who believe that their care was somehow less than what it should have been and actionable.

I wish I had done something before the statute of limitations ran out on  me, but at least I have the ability to put my opinions and experience in a forum that hopefully others will see before they make such an important decision.  Unfortunately, there seem to be many more like me.

Oh Idiot, I mean 'Editor', please check YOUR facts.  Maybe you don't know how the Marin County Superior Court site works.  Yes, she does have other non-medical malpractice suits, but she has had SIX suits filed against her regarding her medical care.  Again not saying anything about the merits of the suits one way or another, but they were filed.

Ladies, remember you have every right to tell your experiences and give your opinions.  You also have the right to write about things that are in the public record.  Don't let anyone intimidate you!

Comments written by TexasBird have been removed at her request after she received a letter from Henry's lawyer.  I wondered how TexasBird's identity was found because we did not provide it.  In TexasBird's comments on this page, she gave the date of her appointment with Henry.  Henry could easily look up her records to see which patient she saw that day and I guess she identified her that way.

Not given This doctor's behavior was unprofessional and a disservice to all of the other wonderful, skilled, kind plastic surgeons in the area.  Her attitude is only semi-friendly when she is hoping to get your business.  If you need her help later or when you come for follow-up visits, she couldn't care less about your concerns or issues.  She will bump your appointment and make you wait for hours while she is racking up new procedures.  Very disappointing.

Don't you think it is better to see someone that is busy rather than slow? It must mean she is pretty good. Just my opinion. Sorry you had a bad experience.

Comments by Jacquline on 09/17/09, 6:27 pm

Dude. She has a lot of patients who also want her to help them. You can't hold it against her for being good at what she does. And she advertises... imagine that! Trying to premote your buisness! She helps one patient and then they normally do not come back because she did it right the first time! I had an amazing experience with Dr Henry and I recomend her to everyone!

Comments by KBarron on 09/17/09, 9:49 pm

Hmmm....or maybe she damaged them so badly and they had enough sense to not go back and find someone who was credible (JUST SPECULATION) this is not indeed what has happened to this 'physicians' patients. I too can speculate what happens to her patients. For those of you who are actual patients, sharing your experience I am truely glad you received the services, care, and outcome you paid for and desired.  You have every right to blog and share your stories. As do those of us that have had life altering outcomes, outrageous attitude and disrespect. Speaking for my self......my story is true, my story is not inflated. I can and will show factual documents, pictures, and whatever can help another potential patient make a just and informed decision. CONGRATS to those have received quality care and service, I AM TRUELY sorry for those who havent and good luck to those to who even consider! BE ADVISED....this is JUST MY OPINION. All statements made in re: to MY 'CARE' and RESULTS are factual. NONE of the statements made in the blog or others made by me are in anyway to 'slander' to only share and inform those of my experience! Just thought I'd throw that out there, I dont want to receive a seven page threat to be sued!

Comments by Josf on 01/14/10, 6:49 am

With no medicall training I am not satisfied to comment on the qualilty of the professional services.  There were complications that has necessitated numerous trips back to the doctor, including additional surgery.  On each of those occasions (for which Dr. Henry is NOT getting paid), she and her staff have been extremely cordial, and gone out of their way to be accommodating.   As a trial lawyer, I've had a demanding schedule, but Dr. Henry and her staff have worked around it bueatifully.

Comments by NeverGettingCut on 07/08/10, 9:36 am

Let me say up front that I am not a patient of Dr. Henry's and I personally never plan to have plastic surgery because I am not a fan of elective surgery.

Having patients wait for hours and hours and hours is a sign of a poorly managed practice - not necessarily an indicator of a good doctor. A well managed practice allows for a resonable amount of time for an appointment based on what the visit is for. For example, if a patient assessment is scheduled and the office knows that, on average, the doctor takes an hour per appointment, the visit should be scheduled for at LEASE 50 minutes, preferably an hour. Offices which chronically overbook or 'crunch' appointments don't care about patient service and consider their time to be more valuable than yours. Period. They want the money for those visits - and let's face it - plastic surgery is the cash cow of medicine. Insurance does not cover most of these procedures and the price tag is large.

Sorry for those who have had bad experiences - my heart goes out to you.

NeverGettingCut, I work with Dr. Henry, let me just get that out of the way. Im not a nurse, Im simply an office worker. I help patients. We do not have patients wait for hours and hours. Generally they are in with the doctor within 10 min of their arrival. I say generally because sometimes a surgery will take longer than expected because Dr. Henry, if anything, is a perfectionist. Its really sad that so many people take time to trash someone, calling them unprofessional, when they have never even steped into our office. Our patients are our priority and thats the truth.

Honestly, I'm not surprised. I've been known to wait anywhere from 20 minutes to a little over an hour to get in to see her for my sheduled appointments. I can understand these things could sometimes happen. but I've seen it happen more often than not. I've witnessed accounts where people who had appointments scheduled right before me and after me waiting impatiently along with everybody else. To be fair I did happen to go in during the afternoon usually when they seemed to be the busiest.

Not given Please check out Dr. Henry thoroughly!!  I had a terrible experience with her.  Not only did I have a poor outcome, but I got an infection which she kept implying I caused and was misdiagnosed twice.  When I first came to her everything was fine.  As soon as something went awry, she completely changed.   Fortunately, I saw another doctor quite quickly who kept me from keloid scarring instead of being told numerous times that I would be fine in a few days.

Check Marin Superior Court Public Index for lawsuits.  Ask other doctors in the community.  Please get more than one opinion.  Ask yourself how you feel about a surgeon who advertises in The Cheesecake Factory menu.

Not given  I would NEVER recommend Dr. Henry for any procedure. I had a breast augmentation and I had a similar experience to another blog. First of all she put in HUGE implants instead of what I asked for. The scar on my tummy tuck is disgusting. And I got capsular contraction.
I went to two other Dr.'s who both confirmed the sloppy job and said they have had several people come in that they had to FiX after Dr. Henry's surgery.
I went back to her and her response was to do another full surgery at FULL price. I don't think so! Money grubbing, unprofessional. Don't ever go to her office unless you want a nightmare.
There are so many other really good surgeons in Marin County. Don't let the glossy magazines fool you. She has a chop shop.

Thank you for speaking up......I agree exactly.  She is mentally unstable, unprofessional, unethical and greedy.  Do your homework ladies......the info is out there!  Who exactly does she pay to write the positive reviews anyway?

2006 I had my breast augmentation in August of 2006. I found this physician through 'Physicians Say YES' I trusted that because I went through a referral service that she was 'GOOD' WRONG! Three months after my augmentation it was VERY visible that my right breast was smaller and higher than my left. I made an appointment and Dr. Henry told me that I had a capsular contracture in the right breast and there was nothing I could do except another surgery. I went home and did research on capsular contraction. I had NONE of the symptoms. My breast easily lifted and the muscle was and is still soft. Also the implant in my right breast is warped LITERALLY! Her answer for that is 'its the way the implant is sitting' The implant is right where it should be but there REALLY is warped or a 'lump' in the front of the implant at the top the my nipple. You can visibly see it. Again her response was another surgery.

I decided to get a second opinion. All my fears and concerns were true. Not by a physician that was getting any gain out of my FREE consultation or offering to perform another surgery. The right implant is warped and the implant breast does not have capsular contraction. The LEFT implant pocket is very large and sits MUCH lower than the right, actually 1 1/8 inch lower than the right. So the right looks much higher. Neither implant was placed properly under the muscle and they look HORRIBLE!

I went back to Dr. Henry and advised her what was going on and what could we do. She told me that none of what the other doctor had said was true and that the ONLY thing she would and could do was another surgery. She even said the plus side was that I could now have a silicone implant that would feel much softer. The nerve of this woman. I just cried and told her I couldn't afford another surgery. She said thats all she could offer.

I was upset! I told her that she could not possibly be proud of this work and I wanted to know if my before and after pics were in her book. They are not! Not not only would I have to replace the implant, I would have to have the left breast muscle sutured at the bottom and to the left (near the armpit) because the pocket is so large! I DO NOT recommend Dr. Kimberly Henry at all. There are many other surgeons out there FIND SOMEONE ELSE!

I'm so sorry you had such a devastating experience at the hands of this doctor.  There are others out there - lots of us.  You are not alone.  *hugs*

Comments by KBarron on 09/24/09, 7:31 pm

Thank you so much. I no longer feel bad. I no longer cry or turn away when I look at my disfigured breast. I will NOT spend one more moment allowing 'Dr.' Henry affect my life. I will now give everything I have to preventing this from happening to someone else. I applaud all of you that have stood up and shared your stories (even though I know its painful) and I agree with another poster Dr. Henry needs to find another line of work. Something that doesnt require skills, a heart, a concious, or ANY morals. Yup thats it!

Comments by CoolBreeze on 06/30/10, 7:04 pm

Dr. Henry absolutely disgusts me. She needs to find a new line of work indeed. She will. Rest assured, she won't be troubled by her pest patients for too much longer.

2006 I went to Dr. Henry for a breast augmentation and it changed my life FOR THE WORSE!
I had to have surgery on one side mutiple times because of her continued errors. She first failed to place a drain and I got a hemotoma resulkting in massive swelling, discoloration for nearly two months and damage to my tissues. The last surgery she removed far too much tissue (leaving me disfigured), stitched up my wound so it was overlapping (which never healed properly). I have permanent scar tissue, nerve damage, Im not able to lift my arm more than at a 50% angle because of the nerve damage.
My modeling career has ended and I hate to be seen naked now. My range of motion is reduced (majorly) and I have NO feeling, other than occasional pain) in my one breast.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SURGEON! She took NO responsibility & continued to make the problem worse and worse with each surgery.

Woo, you do have well knowledge on medical terminology as a patient. Sound more like from a medical specialty from my point of view. I've worked with Dr. Henry in the operating room for over eight years now and we have never had a patient in this practice with these types of concerns.  Is this a joke?

Comments by karma08 on 01/17/09, 1:15 pm

THIS DID NOT HAPPEN.  The Dr. goes out of her way to make you feel happy with your surgery. Any problems are addressed and corrected!!  Then where is your courage to stand up for yourself and ask for the correction??? You hide behind a blog.  This could only be a disgruntled ex employee caught doing something wrong, let go and now trying to dis credit her. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN.

This is outrageous!!! Dr. Henry is an artist. She and her staff have become close to me over the course of my surgery and recovery. You are just a mean ind vindictive person to write these horrible things about her. Karma will get you!!!

Comments by doll25 on 09/11/09, 10:45 pm

So sorry!  Similar situation happened to me.  Once something goes wrong she is terrible to the patient and recommends more procedures at full price.  She even implies you caused the problem or straight out blames you for the problem/infection.

There are plenty of negative reviews out there.  It is amazing to me that there are such losers out there that they feel the need to marginalize someone else's negative experience with Dr. Henry.  It didn't happen - ha!  I have some wonderful pictures of her lovely work too.

Comments by KBarron on 09/13/09, 12:07 am

WOW this is the funniest stuff ever. How could someone say the experience this woman had DID NOT HAPPEN. 'WHy didnt you ask for the correction?' When you tell MS. Henry to 'FIX' it lol she recommends a completely new procedure at YOUR cost. NICE! DOLL25, Michelle, and damagedforlife. Keep your head up! DONT let this 'physician' or her staff detour you from telling your story and preventing this from happening to others! These comments made to you and my self are coming from this 'physician' and her staff.

I need to make a scorecard on here. All I can say is that this woman will charge you and charge you again, not just full price, but even higher than the original surgery to fix her mistakes. She has no accountability and does have a shaming, recriminating tone with her patients if and when something goes wrong. She really needs to quit doing surgeries. LOL Doll25- does she really advertise in the Cheescake Factory menu? That would totally make me lose my appetite.

I went to see her for a consultation. I waited in the lobby 1 hour after my appointment, I just tought to my self that she must be really great and spends a long time with her patients so I did not mind the wait. But when she acctually came in to see me it was just 5 min. that she spent with me she came in asked me what I was intrested in and told me to get undressed and she will be back, when she came back she looked at my body told me what she tought I needed and was going out the door!!! I said 'Is that it? I want to see some of your work, pictures? she said ' Oh the front desk will show you that' and walked out. That was it!!!

I felt like this was a big waist of my time, I was so mad I told the girl working there what She has too much on and just doe's not look good.

I am sorry to hear abaout her bad experience about her botox, but what goes around comes around. She does not know how to treat patients.

Oh Im so happy I had a bad experience with her at my consultation.

My experience with this doctor was life-altering, and not for the better. I am completely devastated. I've had to go as far as New York to have corrective surgery and several more will be needed. My breasts I can cover forever; only doctor's see me now. But my face and especially my neck are visible to everyone. My whole experience including not being told that my surgery time was changed and showing up, only to be told to come back later, to ending up in the ER 16 hours later. My drain from my face wasn't draining the blood and I ended up with severe hematoma. FACTS

My first questions is:   Why would anyone EVER consider a plastic surgeon that has botched and abused her very own face to such a great degree?  I saw her in a boutique in Marin County long before I knew who she was and was horrified by the obvious tight and overdone plastic surgery.  I thought. 'what doctor would perform such a surgery?'.  The woman clearly has personal issues, dangerously low self-esteem and what appears as an addiction to  surgery as her face shows signs of multiple procedures.   I find it inconceivable to believe that she is a plastic surgeon.  I had considered another plastic surgeon in the area for facial peels.  Recently he moved his practice to hers and they share the same office.  Now I will not set foot in his practice, I am so disappointed he is afilliatated with her.  She is a disgrace to the medical profession and if I wasn't angered that she demands so much money from patients wanting to feel better, then I could feel sorry for her.  She's a mess.    Just last week I hearda from another PS that she had recently gotten into trouble for a violation of botox use - maybe illegal?  Not surprised.  I hope you're feeling better.

Comments by surgeon on 06/26/08, 8:45 pm

Patient herself chose the breast implants size. Ask your surgeon about the benefits and risks of these procedures so you can make an informed decision. You will be the one made the final decision. The overall risk of serious complications in an accredited office surgical facility is comparable with the risk in a freestanding surgical center or hospital ambulatory surgical facility. In otherword, it doesn't matter where or who performing the surgery, the outcome will be the same. Certain surgeries require that you stop smoking, lose weight or follow a specific diet limiting the food you eat and the medications you take prior to your surgery.

I can't be the only person that noticed the date this was written doesn't corrospond with her pictures nor do the the before and after pics dates corrospond with each other????  written in Feb 08, pics from May 08 and before was taken the same time as the afters???

Comments by KBarron on 06/18/09, 11:52 am

GET A LIFE! becasue she did not change the dates on her camera the photos are fake? All these people that have made comments about their negative experiences are fakes and just trying to ruin Dr. Henrys reputation. SHE has done that for her self. If you are so concerned and paid so much attention to the dates then maybe you should go as far to research all the law suites that are pending against Dr. Henry and have been settled.

It is disgusting that for those of us that have had HORRIBLE experiences not only have to live with the results but have to put up with being blamed for someone VERY BAD work.

Comments by kaia on 07/17/09, 4:18 pm

I had a lipo with Dr Henry last year. It was the big mistake of my life! My stomach is full of bumps. I did a touch up surgery after 6 months with her, but it didn't get any better. She started to be very rude when I started to complain about the results. If I had read all this blogs before I would never had scheduled my surgery with her.  Please search for a better professional, she is rude, cold and do not deserve your money!!!

Comments by doll25 on 09/16/09, 5:33 pm

To all of you who have posted - please send me a message.  I think we need to band together, not only for support, but Dr. Henry and her attorney are trying to shut down anyone who posts anything negative about her with threats of libel/slander lawsuits.  I also believe this may be  where some of the rabid 'supporter' posts come from.

There are many of us that have experienced negative results and her incredibly rude, abrupt, and downright nasty behavior after you complain about or comment on those results.  We need to make sure our opinions and reviews stay available to prospective patients. Please send me a message if interested
.

Thank you for being so brave and showing your pictures.  A friend highly recommended Dr. Henry a few years ago.  I was waiting to get breast implants until after I had my second child.  I was going to schedule an appointment with her, however after reviewing all the comments people have posted I feel that I will keep looking.  To all you ladies who have had a horrible experience I am so sorry.  Thank you so much for posting your comments they really have helped.  GOD BLESS!!

six lawsuits in nine years is not material.  In a criminal trial a defendant is proven innocent until  ....  Civil lawsuits proof is in the pudding I wonder what verdicts and awards / settlements looked like for those six actions.  The comments don't sound truthful or honest it sounds like jealousy or blackmail or people in need of psychological help.

Comments by stephani on 07/12/10, 9:15 pm

The best thing I have learned about choosing a doctor is not at how attractive she/he is, or how upscale the waiting room is.  Ask your friends who have had procedures  if they are happy and if their friends going to the same doctor are happy.  See how much marketing the doctor does.  It appears that Dr. Henry does quite a bit of marketing.  I saw her ad in New Beauty magazine...the spread in there is a paid advertisement.   Doctors who obtain wonderful results and have happy patients do not do much advertising once they have been in practice for awhile.    Dr. Henry uses glamour-type shots in her advertisements.   I guess she feels it necessary to show us her beauty.   If indeed she has had a half-dozen suits in less than ten years (I do not know if that is accurate), this is a serious sign that many patients are unhappy with their results and experience.  An attorney can easily look up the number of filed suits and advise.    I hope this helps ladies!
