I was so used to being pushed around - in and out of offices - that it really surprised me when this Doctor actually  listened to me.  She is highly experienced in the field  and is rated as one of the top doctors (top ten Rheum.)  in the Washington D.C. area each year in the Washingtonian Magazine. She knew exactly how to fill out medical reports that either the insurance company, Court or Social Security Dept. needed for approval.  What a Godsend. When you're sick and on your own, it is so difficult to deal with all the paper work that insurance companies reject for one reason or another.   Years later when I was covered by a different insurance company that did not cover seeing her,  I had to pay on my own - she knew I was very poor and without my asking or even hinting, she had the staff cut her fee in half ! 

She is a highly sought after Physician now so I don't know how long the wait time is for a new patient consultation but it was only a couple weeks back then.  If you're seriously disabled and  having trouble with insurance companies or Social Security 'legalese'   - I HIGHLY recommend seeking out Dr. K. Price.  If you're lucky enough to have her in your insurance coverage,  all the better because she is an expert in the field of rheumatology.

Fast and efficient.  Knowledgeable.  Great communication/translation for the common layman.  Great follow up and treatment adjustments when required.

Her detailed medical evaluations are still used by my current physicians from time to time when comparing ROM (range of motion ) or progession of disease.
