I had been going to Dr. K for a couple of years. No problems until his new PA came to work. Could NOT communicate with her. AT ALL. She was very rude and didn't care what I had to say. She is very rude and not kind to other patients. She acts like she is above the patient level of understanding. Do not recommend.

Dr. K and his P.A.'s are incredibly compassionate and kind.  I see Elizabeth a lot and she has treated me with nothing but care and concern.

Elizabeth...the PA. I am not so sure how 'new' she is...but I have had two very unpleasant meetings with her. She really talks down to the patient.  She is allowing herself to get into the way of treating the patient with medications that will actually WORK on that patient.  She also pushes surgery (her bro is a back surgeon)...and she pushes certain meds to get kick-backs from the drug reps.  I really wish she would chill, still take her job seriously and still treat the patient...but understand that she is here to HELP the patient...not look down on the patient.

Yes, you are right, Elizabeth is part of  KKs problem, but he has allowed it so KK deserves all these bad reviews

I have written a lot about how awesome Dr. K is...

I should say... was.

Yes, the P.A. that he uses is evil... She made me think that she was my best friend and then turned on me like a rabid racoon.  She decided that she didn't like me and for about 6 months, tried to find a reason to release me. I went in and tried to discuss a problem that I was having and she went evil in about 1.1 seconds.

She really does not know about withdrawal... when I voiced my concern about meds she wrote... she informed me that I'm not a doctor.  Maybe not... but I do have a brain.  Maybe she is insecure and that's why she talks down to people. I don't know... but I do know that I don't miss the alter personalities that she has.

The woman has issues.

As for Dr. K... he was always kind to me and heard me. But it is hard to get to see him.

Seems like if he had a more human P.A., he might keep patients.

Yes, it does seem about money more than it did in 2007.  The wait wasn't as long then... Now, it's hours because they schedule so many people into 15 min time slots... Several times, there have been more than 10 people scheduled at the same time as me.  For one Dr and 2 P.A.'s... that's a lot.  It means a long wait.

I miss the Dr. K that I used to see... I do not miss Elizabeth.  I don't know why she started hating me... and I don't care.  If you could have heard the tone and voice change and seen the look on  her face, you would swear that she was possessed. She really isn't a nice person.  Dr. K could do without her just fine.

So do I recommend them?  Maybe... if you can see Dr. K... totally avoid the two faced P.A.,  but know that Dr. K used to be better and nicer. I can't complain about his quality of care.  He always treated me right.  It just got hard to see him.

He left me in the hands of the evil one.

Graciewolf, I've read your evaluation as well as your comments on other people's evaluations of this man.  You, like the rest of us, are of course entitled to your opinion.  If he has helped you, I truly am glad for you.  However, this is a forum for patients to give their views and experiences so that others can make their own decisions.  I, like you, do not understand.  I wish I knew the reason why certain patients are treated as well as you claim to be treated, while some of us are treated far less than what is acceptable.  Am I not a person in pain just like a lot of others?  I was just looking for help.  It sounds like you know what it is like to hurt so badly that you cannot function.  Why such a difference in manner and/or treatment among patients?  Just because you didn't personally witness what happened with other patients doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Take a good look at my evaluation and opinions.  I have never been hostile towards anyone.  I just posted my evaluation because I feel like this is a good forum to spread information.  I don't agree with how I was treated by him and I feel obligated to let people know what happened to ME.

A few months ago, I was contacted by an attorney who was representing a client who was hurt by this man.  Now she is paralyzed.  A few evaluations back, someone mentioned that they were injected in the wrong disc.  Well, the same thing happened to the person whose attorney contacted me but they ended up in bad shape - far worse than when they came to see him.  I know it is part of a doctor's oath to 'do no harm.'  Everyone makes mistakes, but when you are sticking needles in people's spines you better know what you are doing, and at least have the right information in front of you so that you can inject into the correct disc of the patient.  I was told that the primary reason this woman was injured was because she was injected without the use of fluoroscopy - the 'live x-ray' view of your spinal column and the needle.  I asked my PM dr if HE had ever done that and he said he would never because the technology is there to lower the risk of permanently damaging someone's spine.

So, everyone, take the good with the bad and make your own decision about whether you would really like to be treated by Kamal Kabakibou.  God bless America for giving me the freedom of speech.

I understand that you are certainly entitled to your view and you're right in that I have not witessed any bad treatment of patients so can't say it hasn't happened.  But... I have witnessed a lot of good treatment... so I can say that has happened.

I don't understand about the person being paralyzed... It is my understanding that all epidural injections that he does are done via a live x ray.  I know mine have been... and another family member that gets them has been.

Trigger points in which the Doctor or nurse isn't going into the epidural space doesn't require that.

I have often wondered why anyone would go into this field of medicine ... they have to take care of areas that are higher risk that other doctors won't touch for fear of lawsuits... and also dealing with the DEA.  I can't imagine the level of expertise and accountability required.

Also... lol... the patients are certainly crankier.

As you said... we are each entitled to our opinion...

I think you are living in a dream world! For the record not you so don't jump at me whoever keeps calling him Mr.K umm he is a physician idoit! If you don't like him we heard you about 700 times its DR. even if you do not care for him. If you went to school that long you would want a little resepect.  The wait times are short 10 mins. tops if you go on Tuesday's before 9am. Bottom line complain about something that matters.

He may have a piece of paper that claims he is a physician, however, he isn't worthy of being called 'Dr.' of anything.  I'll call him Mr. K. as I please, as will others who agree he is a waste of time and absolutely pitiful excuse for a doctor.  Last time I checked I live in America where I have freedom of speech and I will gladly exercise my rights to my opinion.  If just one person checks up on him before they make a decision, I have helped out.  Respect?  For going to school?  Funny.  Furthermore, if I didn't think it mattered that as many people as possible know how awful he was to me as a patient I would not have bothered.  Healthcare is a pretty important issue for millions of people.  If he's changed his evil ways, good for him.  Maybe someone told him about this website.  Yay.
