Dr. Burns is internationally known in the field of Urology. When I had a Bladder Neck Incision Operation (necessitated because of 3 failed TURP's in my town) by one of his collegues (Peter Kolettis) at the University Of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham, Dr. Burns did the follow-up visits because the operating surgeon had to leave town. He is the long-time urologist of one of my best friends so I had heard of him long before I happened to be his 'temporary' patient in November of 2007. My score for Dr. Burns is as low as it is because when I contacted him in 2008 in regard to legal action I was taking against MANISH SHAH, (one of his former interns), he never bothered to respond. I explained what information I was seeking and why --and I sent him the request TWICE. If he doesn't respond to medical inquiries such as mine, it doesn't matter how good he is at his practice in my opinion. He DID NOT provide what this patient needed and I would never consent to have him treat me now.....  Hospital visit when Dr.Burns was on call
