Dr. John L. Lockhart performed a 'complete hysterectomy' on my mom in 1992, and neglected to tell her there was cancer in her uterus.  She went 4 years after that, and began showing signs of swelling in her belly.  The cancer had moved, had spread throughout her omentum, and was wrapped around one of the ovaries Dr. Lockhart had NOT removed (as ordered).  She lived for 3 years after the debulking surgery of 1996.  She would have lived much longer had this man done his job!
 
Lawsuit didn't bring her back, and had no impact on this man's life.  Complaint to the Department of Health Professionals, Commonwealth of VA, did no good.  Dr. Lockhart never apologized, instead blamed the oversight on his nurses though he had signed the pathology report that showed the cancer in 1992.  He never owned up to the fact that he had screwed up, and a man who has that attitude is dangerous to his patients.  I would give him a lowere score of 1 out of 10, but can't on this system.
