A touch gentler than the Spanish Inquisistion

I recently had the misfortune of facing the business end of Dr. Dzwinyk's ministrations.  I have one of those 'state provided' insurance cards, if you know what I mean...  My humiliation began when I found out that my treatment was to take place in a passageway somewhere and not in a proper room for patients.  I was there to have fluid extracted from a ganglion in my wrist.  This was one of the most horrible experiences I have ever had.  The doctor injected the anesthetic into my wrist and then immediately started to extract the fluid from my wrist, without waiting for the anesthesia to begin working! The pain was excruciating.  I felt like I was going to pass out - and when the doctor noticed it, he... left the room.  I'm guessing he asked for water to be brought to me, but I don't think anyone was in a rush to actually bring it.  After it was all over, he never mentioned anything about how to take care of my arm - not a thing!  I had to find out from another doctor that I needed to restrict the movement of my wrist for up to 3 months.  I was treated worse than a stray dog.  I will never recommend this doctor to anyone.  Ever.
