I didn't know better. Dr. Fruiterman subjected me to a surgery which I found out from two OTHER doctors was entirely unnecessary. He made inappropriate comments during the exams. He retired with almost no notice, then sent me a bill for almost $200 for dates of service AFTER HIS RETIREMENT. When I called for clarification the 'billing service' numbers had been disconnected with no alternative contact information provided. Thus I had no way to contest this bill (which I refuse to pay) or to request copies of records.
