I am sorry to say that I am the one at fault for this TERRIBLE review. I am at fault for NOT reading the reviews on this MONSTER! I went to him because he takes my insurance. Dubin is extremely rude to his staff. He replaced several crowns that needed to be redone as they failed within months. He rushed the job. He over charged me by $1,000 on his 'estimate'. The crowns has bad margins which caused decay of the teeth under the crowns. 2 yrs later two of the four he did had t o be pulled and replaced by implants at $6,000! He's awful and I had a bad feeling when he started the work. He INSISTED I PAY UPFRONT so I had to go back. Dr. Dubin is a terrible dentist and a horrible person. He was screaming at his staff one day while he had patients in the office. If you are reading this review to find a dentist PLEASE know that I am 100% honest in my review. If you're are not sure, go see him for yourself!

PLEASE! DO NOT SEE DR.DUBIN! This monster did a massive amount of crown/bridge work to the tune of $25,000. With in 2 yrs I had to have it all taken out because it not only failed and I lost teeth but it changed my bite in a bad way. Bottom line, a REAL dentist redid the work and it cost me over $30,000 to fix it. He was rude, obnoxious, and down right mean. His wife is the office mgr so it's a one-two punch! DON'T GO TO DUBIN! PLEASE take the time to find a good dentist!

This is for me the most arrogant health care provider I have ever encountered. Don't dare ask him about the procedure or what he is planning to do. I also believe, although cannot be sure that he and his staff significantly inflates general needs in dental maintenance. And its all done with such precision so that before you know it you are signed up to get some very expensive teeth cleaning I in my case). Bottom line unethical medical practice in my opinion. |

I needed to get a crown. He made one and put it on even though the tooth was hurting tremendously during the entire process. It turns out I needed a root canal, too, which he decided to have done by an endodontist after he put the crown on, which seemed out of sequence. He was not very informed nor informative. He refused to explain what was being done to my tooth, even after I asked him directly. Unbelievable! I never went back to him after he answered, 'No' in response to my question, ' Can you tell me why you put that in my tooth?' He's the worst dentist I've ever met in my life. I went to a different dentist and got everything fixed and all my questions answered.

For the rest of my life I will regret seeing this dentist. He caused be more harm than good, I wish I had checked here before I went. Now I have a tooth that needs a root canal becuase Dr. Dubin didn't fix it right. Plus he is a jerk and just mean to everyone in the office. I will use this site to find a REAL dentist!

I can concur with many of the negative comments. He was rude and condesending. When I asked him a question about what he was doing he gave me a short responce and then asked in a patronising tone, if I was done. I realize now that he gave me some unnecessary and expensive treatments. I can't speak to his competance, but I can say he is an unethical person. Thank goodness I was able to find a caring dentist in the same area.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST! Don't waste your time or jeopardize your health! First of all, It was difficult to make an appointment as a new patient because the receptionist was rude and cold on the phone. When I arrived at the office, I was not greeted with any kind of warmth that you'd think a new patient would receive, welcoming them to the office for the first time. The assistant did not introduce himself and seemed very inexperienced. The appointment was for my 4 1/2 year old daughter (only her second time going to a dentist.) So, she was a little nervous. I assured her it was okay. They wouldn't let me stay with her and told me to leave. The dentist never introduced himself to me. He tried to take x-rays and she was scared since I wasn't able to be in the room and she had never had x-rays before. She started to get upset with him because she said the bitewings were hurting her and eventually began to cry. When I heard her crying I went back to the room to check on her, the dentist was very rude to me and mean to my daughter. He scolded her as she was hysterically crying reprimanding her for being scared. Saying to me curtly 'the appointment is over, I can't do anything for her if she won't take an x-ray! Come back when she's older.' Then since he was mad and in a hurry to leave the room, he almost tore her hair out when he took the bib clip off of her because it was attached to her hair and didn't take the time to do it calmly. He left us abruptly with her hysterically crying, never offering a kind word to try to calm her down or even talking to me further. I asked if he even examined her teeth or even cleaned them. His response: 'We can't do anything for her unless we have an x-ray, it's pointless. Come back when she's older' I was in total shock and disgust. The dentist she had previously was able to clean her teeth and examine them without an x-ray. Obviously, this dentist isn't interested in helping his patients or his career. It says on the door that it's a family practice, but I'd say he's not fit to practice on anyone. Please find another dentist, I'm going to!

Doctor Dubin is rude when you point to something that is not well done. I had crown done before several years and it fall down very fast. I will not recommend him |

I really doubt about the identity of the very few '10 points' guys. Obviously, this dentist is by far the worst I've ever met. I took my 5 years old daughter to this dental office and we spent about 50 minutes there. During our stay, I never saw a single piece of smile. His assistant seemed to have no experience and couldn't even take an x-ray photo. I was then told by the doctor to 'get out of' the treating area. After a couple of minutes when I got back to see my daughter, the doctor told me that he was going to give me a reference for a pediatric dentist. The reason? My daughter was not cooperating and they could not take the photo. My God! I didn't here any noise made by my daughter and she obviously had tried her best to control herself. I don't know how much I will be charged by such kind of dental service but I know for sure I would not recommend this dental office to anyone.

He pressured me into getting Invisalign and gave me a discount but charged me more for the retainers which are usually included in the package. He is really expensive- he charges more than quotes I got from other dentists. I started doing research after the fact which was my mistake to trust him. Him and his family are willing to do whatever they need to just get every penny from you. His assistant, Crystal, takes so much verbal abuse from him. I think she does good work and you could tell that she hates it there. Hes very rude and arrogant I agree. Please don't come here there are very respected dentists out there that will do good work and you can have the peace of mind that your teeth in your mouth are taken care of. |

Dr. Dubin is the worst dentist ever, very rude and also a racist. I was not surprissed to find all these bad reviews about him, he really has an atitude that should work on. His clinic equipment are old and his techniques are from the stone era, if you get the chance to look inside his clinc's droweres you can see the dirt and the filthy instruments. He diagnosis the condition and changes his mind several times before deciding on the treatment. Very unprofessional. BE WARE

Dr.Dubin is really the worst dentist on the planet. He did two crowns that fell off in less than a year. The teeth hurt something terrible after the crowns were placed. Then needed two root canals. Then spent thousands repairing his work. even IF his work was good he is very rude and just down right mean. I would rather have had the teeth pulled if I had known. Thanks Dr, Dubin for all the problems and pain. |

Stay away from Dr. Dubin. He seriously misdiagnosed my husband's dental problems, then did shoddy work with crowns that failed. Follow up dentists who had to re-do his work commented on the poor quality. There's lots of good dentist in Montgomery County. Dr. Dubin is not one of them.

On a routine visit to Dr. Dubin, he suddendly exclaimed, 'you need a root canal!' I was in no pain and never had a root canal before. He wanted to do the job on the spot. After I told him I might get a second opinion, the entire staff started to pressure me to get it done right there. They said if I didn't get it done that day, I would be in pain and may not get another appointment for a month! It all seemed very suspect. My new dentist said it was just a small cavity, filled it, and I have had no further tooth issues. In my opinion Dr. Dubin is very unprofessional, rude, complains about other patients in front of you, and tries to gouge you for money so he can pay for his golf trips and wife's boobs! I recommend you go see another dentist with better manners, better equipment, and courtious staff.

Dr. Jerry Dubin is a jerk! He is rude, and rough... everytime I see him I have to take the day off and pop pain meds, because he is rough. I find that his nurse Chrystal is very sweet and caring.... I don't know how she works with him after his rude behavior towards her! He is arrogant and corrects his staff in front of patients!! NOT professional! Why do they work for him? The office staff will get you in quickly! I'll give them that. But Jerry needs to find a new occupation, or take some classes on professional manners! I have switched dentists, and encourage all of you reading this to do the same!

He has the rudest staff imaginable. They won't even talk to you until they get all the insurance information. When you get there you wait...and wait. I felt that I was just there to make money for him. His fees are much higher than others and is 'bedside manner' is much worse. I have switched to another dentist and will never use him again.

are you for real..the person who left the last comments? I can't believe you are serious with these comments? hmmm? seems fishy. overally, most of the comments seem to reflect exactly how I felt. Dr. Dubin is rude, pompous, over confident, and has a too large ego for his own good. he treats his staff like crap and overall it's an awful experience to even set foot in there. i suggest that no one goes there, there are plenty of other good dentist, no need to go through being treated like crap, like you are stupid, and be in pain.

Gerry Dubin was my dentist starting when I was a teenager until about 30? That was when he first started out I imagine. WAY back then he was OK, but I noticed over the years he became extremely arrogant, rude, and the tension in his office was so thick you could cut it; his staff hated him !

Dr. Dubin is very rude to his patients. He 'yells' /raises his voice/ speaks very very rudely to his staff in front of patient. He literally treats his dental assistant like dirt. I do not know how she takes it. I almost feel like finding another job for her myself. I always felt very uncomfortable going there and will never go there again. He is very arrogant and thinks he's the best dentist, when really he is rude, unprofessional, and treats the patient like they don't know what they are talking about. I am surprised he has any patients left. The first time I went in, the patient next to me (I could only see part of them due to partitian)...was clearly in pain while Dr. was working on him; I could even see the patients shoes/feet moving/ clenching/ as if he was in pain, and he was groaning like he was in pain! I should have followed my gut right then and there and ran! It was not a good sight. I will follow my GUT from now on! I have also felt pain when he's worked on me, when usually, any dentist I have been to in the past (and I have had a lot of work done) has been much gentler or ensured that I was numb enough so I was not in pain during dental work. There are so many negative and specific stories I could share, but in short, there are good dentists in the MD/DC area, so you need not put yourself or your family through the bad experience and humiliation of going to Dr. Dubin. |

I wish I would have read this site before visiting Dubin. I just typed three long paragraphs about my personal experience. Rather than get into all the horrible details - I prefer to stay anonymous. I just wish I would have read the other comments on this site first. Here are some of the issues you will run into when dealing with Dubin and his staff. Long waiting time (even if you are the only one in the office). They resort to insults to try and pressure you into having more work done. WHO DOES THAT? - UNACCEPTABLE!!! The dental assistants were sloppy and grouchy. How does this guy have a license? And where did he find these people? They clearly hate their job. They under-preformed work and over-charged for it. I was charged for things they definately did not do. Is there anything I can do about it? No. Not really. All I can do is warn you. You do not deserve to be treated like that. There are plenty of GREAT dentists in the DC metro area. Dubin is not one of them! |

I, too, did not think Dr. Dubin was very professional. Nor was I happy with the work he performed. I had a crown done. It was the first crown I had ever had, so I didn't know any better. It always bothered me. I switched dentists the next year. The new dentist suggested I go have Dr. Dubin re-do the crown. He did this at no charge, but I still was not happy with it. I ended up having the new dentist re-do the crown. I haven't had a problem with it since.

Dr. Dubin was the worst medical professional I have ever come accross. Dubin is a rude jerk! He is unpleasant and very unprofessional. He complains about other patients to his patients. The work he did was so poor that I ended up spending more money getting it fixed. Dubin crowned several teeth and didn't prep them right. I lost the teeth in 1 year. Please, do NOT see this dentist! Very unclean office.Who gave this man his degree?

Dr. is just interested in performing root canal on your teeth, and take your money. Dr refuses to explain problem, causes, prevention of the problem. Very rude, just forces you to under go some expensive proedures. I asked for copy of may detal examination report. Dr asked me to write a letter, but refused to give a paper from his office to write a request, and asked me to use my own paper! .. I did not get my the copy of detal exam report documents. |
