2	2007-2011	You must write at least one sentence for this doctor. Additional comments posted on 07/08/11: Dr. Newsome waited until PSA was up to 10 to recommend prostate biopsy.It had been around 6 for over a year. He then called over a week after the biopsy to report that cancer was found - said he would call back to make an appt. to discuss results and treatment options after the holiday when he could check his schedule. Ten days later we called - had to wait 4 more days for an appt. - made a point of telling us how many patients he had to see each day (18 in one morning!) and that he would have to eat a Twinkie and diet coke for lunch to fit us in. Informed us that cancer was aggressive and yet we had to wait a month for this conference. He was arrogant and condescending and would only discuss treatments that he or his associates could provide - could not comment on newest treatments we had researched. Medical records were falsified over the years to indicate thorough exams which in reality were 5 minute rectal exams. We went to Duke for second opinion from team of surgeon, radiologist, medical oncologist - outstanding professionalism, knowledge and care. Dr. Newsome is an embarrassment to the medical profession!
