2006 after being a patient in this office since aprox. 1968 with the father dr joe morgan i began seeing the son dr gary morgan. i had extensive repair work done over a 2month period and spent thousands of dollars on these procedures. it was time to start the cosmetic portion of my treatment plan. i missed an appointment. my fault. 2 days after i realized i had missed the apt. i called to appoligize and offer payment for the missed visit and reschedule. they said no payment was needed in my case. only when it was a habitual problem and they would let you know in that case. my next appointment was made and i became ill with the flu the night prior. i called several hours before my apt the next morning to let them know i would be unable to come in due to illness. i said i would call back to reschedule when well and pay any balance i owed. i had credit with them as i had put money down on my upcoming procedure. 3 days later i recieved a letter terminating our relationship based on my missed appointments. two missed appointments and they chose to not finish my procedures. like i said i have been going to this office since i was a child. how could they do this. if dr joe morgan had built his practice on these principles his son would have had no practice to take over. i am shocked and hurt at the lack of careing and profesionalism displayed by this doctor and his staff. i now have to find a new dentist after almost 40 years of history at this office. my family , mother, father, brother , nephews and others also go to this office. i was never a difficult patient or had any disagreements with the doctor or staff. they did this over two missed appointments. i will never understand the lack of compasion and concern displayed by dr gary morgan and his staff. how could they. it seems we are no longer very important. just an apppointment time. miss.... and you are exiled. no consideration to your lifetime loyalty to their practice not to mention your families. be carefull who you depend on. this office has proven unprofesional and uncaring in my opinion. what would you think if this happend to you?

Well dragonlady,

Having worked in a dental office for over 15 years, I find it hard to believe that a professional office would act like that. Let me ask you... how was your track record? Not just recently, but prior to that? Had you missed appointments or cancelled at the last minute in recent years? You fail to realize that when you cancel an appointment, even hours before, not only are you costing the doctor money with paying his assistant, front office staff, electricity, etc. The list goes on. Not to mention that you may have taken and failed an appointment that a patient in dire pain could have used. Stop thinking only of yourself. We in the health field need to make a living also and when we have patients that feel they are the only ones whose time is valuable and have no regard for others' schedules it is time to 'cut the cord'
