Dr. Chehab was the third surgeon that I saw after I developed scar tissue complications from a previous surgery. He was more informed than my previous surgeons and knew about devices available to stretch scar tissue, but he had no time to listen to me. On both of my appointments, he had the details of my case incorrect, despite the fact that I provided him with a written history. He suggested an open surgery to remove scar tissue from behind my knee. I later learned that there was no scar tissue behind my knee - there was only scarring in the front! Dr. Chehab pointed to something on my MRI... but it was NOT scar tissue. How can that possibly happen?!? I'm very glad that Dr. Chehab had the restraint to not do the surgery immediately due to the risk, but I find his lack of attention alarming. I found another surgeon who took care of the problem arthroscopically. If you see Dr. Chehab, bring an advocate with you and test that Dr. Chehab has actually reviewed and understood the details of your individual story.
