I had several appointments with Dr Merker, and had to leave the first without being seen because the wait was too long. Another time I had to wait for 3 hours (seemed to be because it was tax day and the Dr was giving priority to doing his taxes over seeing patients with appointments). Wait to get an appointment depends on which office you go to. It's hard to get through on the phone. I finally gave up without getting a final diagnosis. Dr Merker had me give blood and urine samples. Next visit (the 3 hour wait to be seen) he said 'we forgot to do a test on your bloodwork, so you need to do that again'. I asked about a test on the urine and he said 'oh we didn't do that' so I had to do both tests again. They then lost the urine test, and wanted me to do it a third time, so I gave up and went to see another endocrinologist. Like the other patients, I felt he was offhand with me.
