Dr. Columbus was very reasonable and very much listened to me as I explained my situation, even as it developed from a painful groin- to discovering that I had a separated R SI joint, to finding that I had a herniated L5-S1.

My pain was very intense. It was constant and ruled my life. Dr. Columbus started me on 3 hydrocodone. I asked for more and he put me on 4 (daily). That still wasn't strong enough, and after asking next month he moved me to oxycodone 10/325 4x daily. This barely got me through, and he didn't want to put me on any more. I do understand how careful doctors need to be. I at least got by on that.

Since, I've been put on the same 4x oxycodone plus 2x 30mg roxycodone (sometimes time released). Since that life has been so liveable, and I almost feel like a normal person again. I'm not depressed and overwhelmed by the pain all day every day, and it looks like surgery may be possible soon.

Anyway, Dr. Columbus did a number of procedures on me. Nerve burning injections (SI joint), steroid shots and an IDET on my L5-S1. He is so incredibly capable in the O.R. I'm impressed at his down-to-earth composure because he is so very professional when it comes down to the medical dealings, including surgeries. He truly had my health, finances and overall well-being in mind. He was genuine, and listened to me. I have to say it again because it is so true and important.

Dr. Columbus, thank you for your years of study, hard work and service to people and to me. You're a blessing.
