I wasted YEARS at this place and eventually (it is MY OPINION ) I ended up DAMAGED FOR LIFE. I had a failed prostate microwaving followed by THREE failed TURP or Trausurethral Operations of the Prostate. The first one left me more than 80% nerve damaged as confirmed by world famous urologist IRWIN GOLDSTEIN in San Diego. I was never warned this was a possibility and it has been devistating.(Sexual sensation is all but gone save for major mechanical efforts)..... The third opertaion caused Peyronie's Disease, also something I was never warned about. Treatment for that is horrible and has been going on now for years. They can't fix the situation-- just try to manage it at the Birmingham practice I go to now.. I had to have THREE bladder neck operations because of the failed TURPS in the past 4 years. This place did NOT provide all alternitives to me or other friends and was that perhaps because they did not want to send patients away they could collect fees from? That was my opinion, as I believe the place to be a money based practice. I was valuable only I thought as long as my insurance and I were paying high fees to the place........ I would NEVER go to this practice again but if you do need to because you have no other option (Like getting to Birmingham)-- then ask for Dr. Hicks or Dr. Wade--- Drs. SHAH & Pirani? I would have been as well off (or perhaps better?) with a veternarian. Prostate cancer patients.....If you are proposed ROBOTIC Prostate Candcer surgery do you want somebody from this place who is not that experienced or still learning?..... or do you want folks who have done literally thousands of them? If the latter-- head to Birmingham to UROLOGY CENTERS OF ALABAMA-- 4th largest volume practice for that procedure in the WORLD.  |

On Friday August 10th, 2012 a patient went in for what he thought was a routine test to be done in the office instead of the hospital--as a result of what was injected into him he DIED-----------...he was only 28 years old. WHere did he go? Word all over Gadsden is that he was a patient at CLINICAL UROLOGY ASSOCIATES !!!!!!......
