Dr. Pottant seemed to be a thorough doctor, good in communicating, and helpful. Recently, however, I have found her to be most unprofessional. I called her office about a test and was not told by the receptionist that the testing facility had already called. If I had known that I would known the matter was taken care of. The testing facility called and asked me to call the doctor's office again about the test requested and was spoken to by the same receptionist in an rude fashion and then told the testing facility had called earlier in the day. The doctor called me about my calls to her office suggesting I was bothering them, told me she would call the testing facility to answer their question and then hung up on me. I have never had a doctor or any other medical professional hang up on me and I was stunned. The testing facility then called and said the gentleman said he now had the information needed. When I mentioned the doctor had hung up on me, he said she had done the same thing to him. This behavior is not what I expect at all from a professional. I don't want to worry every time I call the office that I'm going to risk the same treatment. Behavior says much about character and this behavior doesn't suggest a person I want to care for me.
