My 4 year old daughter is a patient of Dr. Patiño's.  I have moved to another country and what I miss the most is our pediatrician.  From the day he saw her at the hospital, when she was born, to every other visit, Dr. Patiño has been caring and knowledgeable with regards to her health.  He is genuinely interested in my daughter’s well-being and he treats each visit with great care, I don’t feel he has ever under or over medicated my daughter – he will always give us the right ‘prescription’ to take proper care of her (sometimes as simple as saline solution drops in the nose and one time, for an ear infection, he did prescribe the antibiotic she needed).

Once, as a newborn, I had to take her to the hospital Dr. Patiño actually went to the emergency room to see her in person.  Overall, my daughter is very healthy, but I have a difficult time entrusting our daughter's health to any other pediatrician.

Today, I live in Switzerland, a 1st tier country and with excellent medical care reputation, but after visiting 5 pediatricians, none can replace Dr. Patiño.  They do not get personally involved with the patients and only work a few business hours-you can never reach them when you need them and there is a ‘main’ number you have to call where each time you talk to a different student doctor or nurse.   

I have also had a great experience with his staff (nurses and front desk).  It is more difficult to get 'personalized' attention over the phone or get the appointment whenever you need it, but when it is an 'emergency' - when my daughter has been sick, I was always able to come in to see the doctor.  Although this may cause a bit of extra waiting when I go there with a 'scheduled' appointment, I value very much the fact that when I need to consult my pediatrician because my children are sick, I can. 

I highly recommend Dr. Patiño to anyone with children.  In my experience, he is an excellent doctor who gets to know his patients and cares about them and their families.
