I was dissatisfied with the dr. Singh's interest in my symptoms. I felt like he was not listening to me, as he kept talking over my words. My first visit, i explained the pain on my side after my hysterectomy. I was pretty sure he wasn't listening to me when his next question was, 'is there any chance you could be pregnant?' Another visit i saw his partner, dr. Joseph. He is wonderful. I had a problem after my hernia (surgical from the hyster.) and went back hoping to see Dr. Joseph. No luck. Dr. Singh was on duty. Again, he talked over me as i was discussing my problems. He flat refused to prescribe pain killers though i was still in awful pain. He went on to talk about addiction and what not. NO doubt that is an issue, but i explained i cannot even sleep for the pain. I have some sort of respitory infection (he didn't tell me what but gave antibiotics). i cannot even take a deep breath for the pain. I was crying becasue I was so upset about having to wait until my surgeon's appointment for more pain medicine. After all this, he gives me a prescription for a narcotic cough medicine. I asked him what the difference was, if his concern was addiction. 'This is for the cough' he insisted...though i doubt the medicine knows that to hinder any addiction issues. He is a terrible doctor and I would sooner treat myself than return to him (though his partner is fine). He has no interest in what the patient is saying and very obviously doesn't listen. There is a distinct feeling he wants to hurry on and move to the next patient. I had my surgery 5 days ago and feel the greater issue is controlling the pain. I was so angry at his continual arguing w/me...he also insisted i had an ingunial (however it's spelt) hernia and not a surgical. I quit arguing that fact, figuring it was inconsequential. While i cannot say the office itself is a bad place...i can say, after two horribly disappointing visits, Dr. Singh is the worst doctor in Stafford. Avoid having him see you at all costs!!! It will be a waste of your time and money.
