Not given This is a money hungry doctor who has no compassion.  I called her after having a medical emergency and I was told by my family doctor to see my ob immediately. After a week of not returning my calls, even though I was her patient for 5 years, the nurse told me that doctor, she doesn't deserve the honor, but she told the nurse to tell me that I do not and have an emergency, and if I come in I should bring a $150 dollars because my insurance will not cover the visit. I do not know how she knew it was not an emergency since she had not seen me in a year.  She is the worst doctor. Please do not waste your time on this horrible so called doctor. She is running it as a business without any compassion.

2011 Dr. Kunani is no doubt an experienced and probably skilled doctor. That is as far as we can credit her though. She is perhaps the most unsympathetic doctor I have come across in my life. My parents are both physicians and so is most of my extended family. They have never treated patients with the same lack of sympathy and disrespect that this woman does. Her clinic is focused on the quantity of patients and not the quality of care. Every time we came to her it seemed like we were being rushed and that our concerns about our first pregnancy meant little to her.

Still, she did her job decently until it came time that we suggested a 'birth plan'. We simply wanted to indicate our preferences when it came down to an episiotomy or epidural. The doctor became visibly upset and scolded us for our ignorance. Rather than appreciate that we shared our preferences with her, she turned the conversation into a tirade on internet birth plans and how people who are not in the field of ob/gyn are 'idiots' who don't know 'what the hell they are talking about'.

Because of an emergency delivery, we couldn't deliver with her and we had to go to the nearest hospital by ambulance. My wife was in active labor and delivered within forty-five minutes of arriving at a hospital only five minutes away. On the other hand, Kunani wanted us to come to her hospital which was approximately an hour away. As a courtesy, to make her aware of the situation and that we were taking my wife to the nearest hospital because the paramedics could only take her to the nearest hospital, I called Kunani on the way to the hospital to make her aware of the situation.

Rather than understand my problem, she proceeded to yell at me and insult my handling of the situation, demanding that I discharge my wife from the hospital immediately and bring her one hour away to her hospital. I don't know why but I felt bad anyway and called her again after delivery, explaining that had I listened to her advice my wife would have delivered in the car. She clearly didn't understand and didn't bother to say anything but we was clearly so upset because of this that she refused us service after delivery when my wife had complications after birth, and she even scolded my partner upon calling her that it brought her to tears! She is the epitome of what is wrong with a greedy medical industry and although she may be experienced I would never recommend this horrible excuse for a public-servant to anyone.

2007

I had this doctor, my baby was born in 2007. WORST doctor ever. I had lost 2 before this one. she was not sympathetic, she was not sensitive to my past experiences.  she was all about the insurance, I guess I had one of the better ones. my entire experience  with her was not satisfying.  I kept calling her about my contractions, she told me I was just complaining, then same day I went into labor. she showed up to the hospital after I started my labor with another doctor, then she asked that doctor to leave, cuz I guess who ever delivers the baby gets the money. I was so confused.
the next day she came to check on me....cuz of her I have reoccurring issues. for those who had a good experience, maybe you were blessed and she had nothing to do with it.
