What a bunch of BS. Either Dr. C is leaving herself positive reviews or she's hired someone to do it for her. Either way, it's a bunch of lies. I know several people who've seen this hack and know damn well that she is full of it. Don't believe anything positive about her, she'll damage you for life and take thousands of dollars to do it. The Dental Board doesnt care about patient's rights, they exist only to collect dues from their doctors, and Dr. C knows it. We need to organize a class action suit against this abomination of a dentist, and teach her what it feels like to get royally screwed over.

Wow Doc, looks like you've had to resort to leaving positive commentary for yourself so it appears that you actually do have one or two satisfied patients. You're not fooling anybody though. Those of us who've actually seen you in action know that you are just a lousy liar and rip off artist. If you honestly think anyone will believe this BS after reading the rest of the REAL reviews here, you're high.

Response by dentalbootcampsa on 05/09/08, 2:04 pm:

I worked for Dr. B a few years ago as a receptionist.  It was the worst experience of my life.  I was looking for another job the entire time but I had to stay because I needed a job.  She would frequently berate any patient that ever questioned her authority.  I witnessed numerous screaming matches with people under her care.   As for the staff we, were constantly subjected to her unstable behavior and rants about dental boot camp and scientology.  Dental boot camp is a course for dental employees to learn how to manipulate patients into paying for costly dental work.  I had to listen tapes and recite the dialogue from them when situations would arise.  Scientology is a cult that she belongs.  She would attend courses at the Celebrity center that would teach her psychological warfare and manipulation.  Her granddaughter attends a Scientology boarding school in Oregon.   She was married three times and had three children.  Her oldest son committed suicide, her daughter is a drug addict and she has to raise her three grandchildren.  Her youngest son killed a man while drunk driving and came to work for her after prison.   He was caught stealing drugs and for embezzlement and was sent to prison again.  She was indicted for the arson on suspicion of burning her ex-mother laws house down but was ultimately acquitted.   I was so afraid to go to work that I would often burst into tears on the way to work.  We would get into so much trouble if five new patients each day did not make their appointment.  It would also be our fault for not “qualifying” the patient correctly. Translation: not being able to tell over the phone if the person would show up for their appointment, take the advise of the treatment plan, have enough money to pay for it and basically never cause any trouble.   On one occasion a woman called in to cancel her mothers appointment because her brother had been killed in Iraq. With the manipulation tools I had been taught I was able to convince her keep her mothers appointment. I felt really bad but I was terrified of the consequences.  When I hung up the phone I was asked to explain what happened I was lavished with complements.   When new patients called for appointment we had a two-page script of questions to ask in order to qualify them.  Sometimes they would get spooked and change their minds and hang up.  If the doctor were in hearing distance I would keep talking and pretend to make the appointment.    If this seems at all shocking to you BEWARE it was one thousand times worse than it sounds.

Response by workingmom on 05/08/08, 9:53 pm:

I have seen Dr. Tompkins several times over the past few months, and I have NEVER experienced any of the things that Fourmom has experienced.  As a matter of fact, I received the total opposite. I scheduled with ease, the staff was happy and pleasant, the wait was nothing compared to the other clinics I have been to, needless to say the appointment was scheduled with out a six month wait to work me in like all the larger clinics.  I also did not feel threatened as a female while being in the room or while being examined.  The nurse was called out for an emergency, but, I did not feel uncomfortable in the least.  This doctor not only figured out what my medical problem was, he put me thru a strict regime of medication, diet plan to meet my health needs, and was truly concerned - I have and will continue to return to his clinic as long as feel the need for medical treatment...I don't consider myself a what some people call a "bombshell" or a "brickhouse" - and I for sure do not consider myself "butt ugly" - and the man was as professional as they come. And the fact that I am divorced never even came into the conversation.  Religion is something that is to each his own, if this doctor feels the power of the Lord, and follows the path that he feels the Lord has set him on, then, more power to him.  "Judge not, lest you be judged". and I am not a religious freak, I just beleive there is a higher power, and the Lord lights the way -

Response by Glad2bGone on 05/08/08, 8:40 pm:

Just to add an additional comment to this obviously "intense" discussion..... I too loved Dr. Cooper when he practiced elsewhere. Once he moved to his new office, he changed. I had heard through the hospital rumor mill that he was having some personal problems, so, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Things only got worse. He gave me what sounds like his standard cocktail, antidepressants and xanax. I was completely over medicated and miserable. When I complained of stomach pain, he told me I was bi-polar. Needless to say, I'm not bi-polar and actually went to a MEC doctor to find out I needed surgery!!!! not more medication!! Anyway, physicians do make mistakes. And people deserve to know about the good and the bad...and then form their own opinion. I don't know about any other staff issues, and do know the "original" staff. My opinion is based solely on my experience. My family and I have moved on and have continued to hear negative things about this physician.  Best of luck in your search.

The man could care less about you or your eyes.  YOur just another number to him. He doesn't explain anything ..read this and sign and then he has the right to destroy your vision with no recourse. He almost destroyed my vision.  He recommended two other procedures to restore what he ruined.  If I hadn't sought out another doctor...my eyes would have been beyond repair.. He had done 2 operations and wanted to do two more.. My eyes are not for experimenting...he should have said the restore lens doesn't work in 1 or 2 % of patients and it needed to come out.  He wanted to leave it in and continue to tinker with it.  I could only see large black letters on white.  I could not see any light print on a light background and could only focus after 30 seconds on a word.   No sight reading for me..He proclaimed me 20/20 because I could see a black letter on white...he wouldn't listed to me explain how my eyes were working.  I passed the test so he proclaimed me a success ...although I couldnt' read a page of book. I saw 3 other doctors and none agreed that his "fix" would work...I had to have the lens removed and replaced by a top doctor. RUN don't walk away.....

Dr. Rubin has been my primary care physician for 3 years, and I absolutely love her. Not only is she caring and extremely knowledgable (she diagnosed a serious problem based on my lab results that my previous physician had missed completely), but I don't feel like I'm being rushed in and rushed out like the HMO-style of medicine that so many practices are moving towards. I'm not sure that some of these commenters have gone through what I did in looking for care these days, especially in Marin, where so many of these practices have closed. It's a real wake-up call. The good doctors like Dr. Rubin that are hanging on have thousands of patients, and getting things like phone calls returned by a physician within a few hours or near-term appointments is definitely the exception and not the rule. I'm thinking about signing up for her boutique service, which sounds more like that "old fashioned model" before the health care system started falling apart. In the meantime, thank God doctors like Dr. Rubin are still out there!

She not only was there for support she sent the fetus for test, which also helped us in the preperations for our cycle. We had abnormalities and with out these test we would've never known. We did IVF along with PGD, and high risk complications. She did all my surgery's and was there for all appointments. My pregnancy was tough and she was there through the whole thing. I am truly sorry for your loss.  Although it's been a while since you lost your beautiful canine pet, I lost mine on Feb 21, 2008, in a similar way.  Mine was a 13-year old male toy poodle.  He had experienced symptoms suggestive of thyroid problems.  Five vets in Madison Alabama, who were involved in his case FAILED to diagnose that he was Addisonian.  The internist at Birmingham Alabama did an ultrasound, diagnosed an intestinal obstruction and recommended exploratory surgery.  The surgeon of Veterinary Surgery of Birmingham found NO OBSTRUCTION and biopsies of liver and small bowel were NORMAL.  Six days after the surgery my pet died a horrific death.  The surgeon released my pet to me although he had not recuperated enough to come home and be under my care.   That was a major surgery and the surgeon told me nothing about it.  He sounded like it was just a routine procedure, gave me no prognosis, complications, or signs to watch for and what to do.  Under my care, on the second day, my pet had a seizure and rushed him to an emergency clinic at Huntsville, Alabama.  There the vet did nothing but put him in an oxygen cage and asked me to pick him up the next morning.  He also told me that if my pet died, he would call!!  I picked my little bud up the next morning and brought him home.  Before I had a chance to take him to a regular vet, he became comatose and rushed him again to another vet hospital.  There the vet (not the referring vet) tried her best to revive him, but it was too late. . .all his organs had collapsed due to infection as the vet wrote in the report "bruising midline from incision from surgery, SQ emphysema."   From the day he was operated on Feb 14, 2008, to the day he died, Feb 21, 2008, he had not eaten anything.  The surgeon told me that himself and asked me to make sure that he ate.  He (surgeon) also recommended "diet: normal."  I tried to force feed him a liquid diet because he refused to eat anything with no success.    The surgeon never returned my pet to the referring vet as their practice code suggests.  The referring vets never called or followed up on my pet and it is their responsibility to follow up and provide post-op care on any pet after surgery.  This is just a synopsis of what happened to my pet in the hands of INCOMPETENT veterinarians.  In my pet's case there WAS FAILURE TO DIAGNOSE, MISDIAGNOSIS, UNNECESSARY AND KILLING SURGERY, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, MALPRACTICE.  I did file a complaint with the Alabama State Veterinary Board of Medical Examiners on March 18, 2008.  I have not heard anything yet--just a phone call to let me know that they received my complaint.  Doing extensive research, I found out that the state boards dismiss 90 percent of the complaints!  That is the reason I want to sue the vets for malpractice, but I have not been able to find any animal lawyer in the  state of Alabama.

I asked for my records and they gave me the hardest time.  When I finally got my records Lynn Handel told me that I was not allowed to go to Dr. Gomez, which I thought was strange since they insisted he left the country.  I finally found Dr. Gomez he is in Newtown Square at a beautiful office.  The staff there is pleasant and loving.  As for Lynn Handel she should not be permitted to have any contact with the public.  She thinks because she has money and a dentist for a husband she is better than everyone. Well dragonlady,   Having worked in a dental office for over 15 years, I find it hard to believe that a professional office would act like that. Let me ask you... how was your track record? Not just recently, but prior to that? Had you missed appointments or cancelled at the last minute in recent years? You fail to realize that when you cancel an appointment, even hours before, not only are you costing the doctor money with paying his assistant, front office staff, electricity, etc. The list goes on. Not to mention that you may have taken and failed an appointment that a patient in dire pain could have used. Stop thinking only of yourself. We in the health field need to make a living also and when we have patients that feel they are the only ones whose time is valuable and have no regard for others' schedules it is time to "cut the cord"

What she called Rosacea (a cosmetic condition) turned out to be Cellulitis, which can develop into flesh-eating disease, can travel to your brain, and can be fatal if you don't go on antibiotics. The College looked into it and told her to brush up on her homework.

Worst doctor ever. Find someone else. I was in labor for over 17 hour with my child in distress because she did not want to a c-section....

Response by KW on 05/04/08, 10:22 pm:

She is an excellent physician. She performed a perfect scheduled c-section for our baby with no complications whatsoever. She has always been efficient and timely in returning phone calls, and will discuss patient health at length after hours. We were so happy to have found her; I wouldn't have anyone else deliver our children.

Response by myself on 05/04/08, 2:50 pm:

I on the other hand have been seeing Dr. Pilgram for more than a year.  He is the best and most caring Doctor I have ever met. I also have waited at times for my apointment, but have also at other places.  I must say the staff has always been most kind and respectful to me.  I enjoy the visit and they always know you and welcome you. As to Doctor Pilgram, he is the kind of person that feels like your friend as well as your doctor.  I feel well cared for and I can tell from conversations that he cares deeply about all his patients. I wish he were closer to me, I actually travel to see him and consider it well worth my time.   At home, you can just call get anything as the office is always full and it is those with medicade and you want to talk about test results, one doctor actually made my father sit for 3 hours at an apointment to get his results of an upper GI and then gave them to the receptionist and went out the back door never even seeing him. He ended up in Utah Valley 2 days later with gall stones and had surgery.  His caring office called my mother 4 days later to see if he was OK and wanted to reschedule. Anyway, I have to tell this as I really appreciate all the things Dr. Pilgram and staff have done for me.

When I asked Dr. Gray about "Thermage", he told me that the results are "ify", so why spend $2,000 plus dollars to find that out.  I can't believe that he is still pushing that procedure.  I am sorry about what happened to you, please file a report with the state, that is the only way this man will be stopped.

I lost my glasses and checked many eye doctors to find an appointment as soon as possible. Finally I called Accuvision and they were kind enough to work me in their full schedule. When I arrived the staff was very friendly, understading and very helpful. After a short wait I was seen by Dr Doherty who went out of his  way to give me a complete exam. His professionalism was outstanding. Then I was able to get my new glasses within an hour. It saved my day, and I left with the feeling of relief. I want to thank Dr. Doherty and his staff for everything they did.

I had "Smart Lipo" done on my arms about 6 months ago.  Some background - My weight is fine, always has been, but my arms have always been out of proportion to my petite frame.  All types of exercise, diet, creams, wraps, weight training, etc. didn't change the fact that they are just too big.  I even tried Thermage about 6 months before going to see Dr. Gray (at a different facility) with no results.  I figured removing the fat was my last resort.  So I did the Smart Lipo combined with the ultrasonic lipo..and 6 months later all I have are the same size arms which now have less volume but absolutely no skin tightening (made worse by the lower volume of fat) and again, they are the same size!  When I mentioned this on a followup appointment he blew some verbal smoke at me about he never promised a smaller size and something about circumference changing across the length of my upper arm...blah, blah, blah.  Tell me, why else does someone under go lipo except to reduce size???  I paid for another Thermage treatment at Skin Deep, which did nothing to tighten the skin.  I bought a rediculously difficult to use massaging apparatus from there as well, again, waste of money.  He did do a little complimentary touch-up inside the elbow to reduce a divot he created.  On another followup I again expressed my dissatisfaction and he started to get edgy with me.  He's friendly when all is going well, but he gets awful sensitive if you don't like his work.  Overall, I've spent thousands at his clinic and my arms look worse than ever!  Loose and flabby.  Don't go!!!

My Dr. used to be Che-Yang Huang.  When he retired he left all his patients with Dr. Thomas Lee and Patricia Lee.  I was so disapointed when I went for my first exam.  I definitely saw a big difference in the way they(Dr. Huang and Dr. Thomas Lee)performed the exam.  I decided to give him another try and was disapointed again.  I will definitely look for anohter ob/gyn.  My sister in law is getting prenatal care by Patricia Lee and is too very disapointed with her.  I have 3 children and all my prenatal visits were so pleasant with Dr. Huang.  He would perform an ultrasound at least every other visit and listened carefully to what I had to say.  Patricia Lee won't really listen to my sister in law.  She said she is only allowed to have one ultrasound and at 18 weeks she didn't even want to tell her the gender of the baby.  I wish Dr. Huang would still be around.... I miss him so much.

I couldn't agree more with your rating for Dr. Wielechowski' high level of dental care.  What I have read in the papers is definately not the young man I have encountered while under his care.  He has been and gentle and kind.  He has always cared for me and my children with the upmost respect and the highest standard of care.  You can be sure that the other side of this story has not been told.  Remember reporters are in the business of selling papers.  As Dr. Wielechowski was the one taken out on a stretcher one has to wonder just who was the attacker and what really happened here.
