On Thursday, Feb-18-2010, a suspicious-looking van was parked on the street, pointed at my house. A man sat in the van staring at my house for at least two hours.

Who am I? I maintain this website: DoctorScorecard. My name is Earl Thurston and I live in Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA. I hope that this site is helpful for anyone who uses it to share information about doctors, the good and the bad. Unforunately for me, this comes at a price. One specific doctor has harrassed me for a couple years now because he does not want you to know what other people have said about him. He thinks by harrassing me, I will give up and take away your right to free speech on this website. But I am stubborn. The more he tries, the more I resist. At this point, it's simply the principle of the matter. I can't let this doctor get away with unethical practices to hide the negative comments people have written about him.

The guy in the van appears to have used a telescopic lens to take pictures of my personal property. So, I used one back at him. LOL! That was some good fun. He was in a dark, red Pontiac van. His license plate number is 213 NWM. The man was light-skinned, had gray/white hair, and wore glasses.

When we approached him to ask what he was doing, he gave us a bogus business card, saying he was waiting for someone.

There is no such company called "Arkansas Roadway Services". Michael J West is a real name, though. He has a website with his name on it and he includes an impressive resume for himself.

Mr. West is a private investigator out of Little Rock, Arkansas. I'm not upset with him personally. I just hope Mr. West realizes how unethical a doctor must be when he tries to hide and destroy what people have documented online. Maybe I should hire Mr. West to help me investigate the doctor that I believe is behind all the recent activity.

I later found his picture at arkansite.com and this is definitely him. I like his post about child safety, so I am hopeful that he is ethical, as I have children, too.

I got in my car and the P.I. pulled up beside me. I think he wanted to follow me. But I didn't leave my driveway, so he got in front of me.

I ended up following the P.I.

He turned back onto the loop back toward my house. He parked back in the same location, pointed at my house.

He probably spent time at my business location as well, but I happened to stay home this day.

What else is new?

Hackers have been trying to shut the site down with a Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack. Many computers all over the world are making many requests from this website, trying to slow it down or crash it.

"defamation action league" - info@defamationactionleague.com - defendmedia@gmail.com

The email follows the same M.O. as spammer/hacker William (Bill) Stanley, who I suspected worked for Dr. William Boothe a couple years ago and probably continues to work for this doctor today. Dr. Boothe, the man who spent a million dollars to shut down another website, is also currently suing me to demand personal information about the people who wrote comments about him. [Court records]
